”One of the best service hotels we have stayed at. Room was a nice size, clean but could have done with a bit more dusting. No shower gel in the shower. We could have asked due some but things like this should be checked before letting out the room. However staff were very friendly. The restaurant served quite nice meals. Buffet breakfast is very good too. Love the black pudding. Definitely would stay here again. It's quiet considering it's at a service area. 8/10 from us.”

”The hotel really caters for big events etc. and was almost empty when I stayed. I only met the receptionist who was efficient, friendly and helpful. The hotel is very large and set in its own grounds and gardens. For my stay it was very quiet - I can't comment on when it is full and busy. However, my stay was during the latest heatwave and my bedroom was without air conditioning and uncomfortably hot. The public rooms were cool and comfortable and so I sat in the empty bar -not drinking - to...

”Very good stay, if you have a car. Without a car, no chance. Oxford city around 20min away. Clean, quite big room. Okay bed. Nothing special, but everyrhing worked. No restaurant. Breakfast was poor. No fridge. ”

”Absolutely superb in every way. BUT.... The room(s) was/are under a sloped, tiled roof. Weather very warm. But it was unbearably hot. Unable to sleep properly. A real shame, as it was otherwise excellent.”

”Idyllic setting in a peaceful Cotswold village with beautiful gardens and views but still close to other towns and villages. Very nicely furnished bedroom and a fantastic large bathroom. Excellent breakfast. Only slight negative to our room (Pheasant Nest) was some noise from bedroom above (creaky floor and running water). Thoroughly recommended”

”Enjoyable two night stay. Very warm, which made the pool a godsend. Breakfast was a bit cramped and bland, if I was being picky. Lovely room, great bed and good size walk-in shower. Overall, a very definite thumbs up.”

”Good for a short stay, very basic pub accomodation. Located practically in the middle of nowhere and there's no possibility to go for a walk or a run in the evening. The pub downstairs is good, with reasonably priced food and drinks. Friendly staff. Stayed at the room 12 which at the time of my stay didnd't have any shower! This is unacceptable even temporarily, such room should not be offered at all.”

”What an awesome hotel, everyone was friendly. No air conditiioning, but we survived well. Don't think that if you are from the states, you should rent a car. There are plenty of options for transportation vendors, the hotel will provide you the contacts. Beautiful part of the world.”
