Unwind in our secluded mid-century modern beach cabin, nestled in a peaceful natural setting. The cabin boasts sleek lines, expansive windows and designer touches. Relax in the light-filled living area, gather around the fire pit under starry skies, or soak in the tranquility of the surrounding woods. Our cabin comfortably accommodates 6 adults and 2 children.

The space
Welcome to Cecelia’s Cabin, a cozy mid-century modern cabin nestled in a wooded area close to Lewes and Rehoboth beaches. You’ll have the entire cabin to yourself including three bedrooms, two full bathrooms, kitchen, dining and living spaces, mudroom with washer/dryer and beach shower. Spacious backyard with a deck and charcoal bbq, screened porch with picnic table, and a fire pit!

MAIN LEVEL: The downstairs is an open floorplan vaulted living and dining space which is centered around the elongated fireplace and soaring rows of windows. Note: We do not have cable but guests are free to stream their own accounts on the smart TV. We only have one TV in the cabin, in the living room.

The dining space is the perfect place to come together after a day of exploring and share a meal and all the exciting details of your day. The kitchen includes basic items for preparing modest meals. Note: Our fridge does not have an automatic ice maker but we do provide trays for making your own ice.

The main level also includes the primary bedroom and full bathroom. A pack and play and yoga mat is available in the closet of the primary bedroom.

There is a side entrance opening up to a mudroom that offers storage space, along with a newly installed washer and dryer (you will need to bring your own laundry soap & dryer sheets). Just outside the mudroom is a small shower room for use after a day at the beach.

UPPER LEVEL: The two upstairs bedrooms are accessed by a steep spiral staircase, which may not be ideal for unattended small children. Each bedroom has a queen size bed and a sleeping nook with a twin size bed. There is a full bathroom between each bedroom. The hallway also includes a small round chair perfect for reading a book.

OUTSIDE: There are sliding doors leading to the deck or screened porch from the main living area. We have a fire pit and a charcoal grill for you to enjoy in the backyard. Note: We do not provide charcoal or firewood.

Other things to note
Nature: Additionally, Cecelia’s Cabin is located near a small pond (guests do not have access to the pond); as a result, there are many different types of animals that live nearby including frogs, water bugs, and other insects. Please do not be surprised if you encounter these creatures when enjoying the natural surroundings. This does not reflect on the cleanliness of the cabin and is just a normal occurrence for being in the woods. To minimize their presence, we recommend keeping food properly stored and closing doors to seal any potential entry points.

Occupancy: We have a strict 8 adult maximum, with the upstairs bedroom sleeping 3 people when using the small built-in sleeping nook. This rental is not suitable for very large or party groups (adults should supervise children if staying in the upstairs loft).

Community: The home is located in a small private four season recreation community on gravel roads off a main paved road.

Security: We have a Ring camera on the front of the cabin facing the front entrance and driveway area. This camera captures live video and audio but is not continuously monitored during your stay. This camera helps alert us to our guests arrival and departure and the safety of our property.

Pets: While we absolutely love our furry friends, we kindly ask that you make alternate arrangements for your pets during your stay at Cecelia’s Cabin. We want to ensure a comfortable and allergen-free environment for all our guests. We appreciate your understanding.

We have a strict NO SMOKING policy in the cabin.

Discounts: There are discounts available for 7-day (plus) stays, as well as further discounts for month-long stays.
