”Room was very comfortable ,clean and quiet with all the amenities iron and board tea etc.The bathroom and shower worked very and was stocked with all you need for a good shower. ”

The Hotel has a well stocked bar and dining area with a good menu selection. This is the 2nd time i have stopped here and i would stop again. ”Friendly host, warm and cozy cottage atmosphere out on the country - very private and quiet too. The room was so nicely appointed and we loved the sound of the babbling stream outside. The bathroom was large and bright and had a big bathtub. Everything was so clean and welcoming. Breakfast was excellent and cooked to order each day. A wonderful spot away from the madding crowds but so close to so many beautiful places. ”

”We paid over £1000 for a two night stay. The room was very very tired and felt grubby and dated. The room was worse than a budget hotel room. Despite the £500 a night price you have to pay extra to have a cooked breakfast and the self serve breakfast on offer is very poor. No table service and only coffee on offer is weak watery coffee via a thermos flask. Not actually sure how they can justify the room price. Bathroom in particular was very dated and grubby - shower is operated via attempting...

”We loved our stay at Rose and Crown! The staff were so friendly. Our room had so much character, and was bigger than we would have expected. ”Helpful frendly ,welcoming staff.Large room(althogh a little dark) Sadly, there appeared to be no hot water available in our bathroom on our first morning,(despite running the hot water tap for about 10 minutes),so we were unable to take advantage of the wonderful looking freestanding roll top bath.
