”I can't say enough praise for the owner/ manager. Damien. A very happy,helpful person. Plus his staff.. Our car broke down and we had to wait hours but he was very understanding. Tried to book again for that night but unfortunately all rooms were gone. Will definitely stay again. And food, Wow !!!!! . Everything we had over the stay was so tasty. My partners Daughter had her 30th last month and that was a great night too. Cheers all.”
”Easy check in and loads of parking. The room was absolutely amazing, we were outside so felt like being in a cabin overlooking the garden. Bathroom was huge and clean. Went to the bar in the evening and the service was great. Can't fault this hotel”

While some of the reviews mentioned noise in some of the suites, we only heard guests downstairs when we were in the bathroom and then only in the afternoon. It was quiet in the evening / night. It was a great place to stay after a 5,000 mile trip from the Western US and recover from jet lag before going on to meet friends and family elsewhere in the UK. (It’s about a hour from Heathrow). ”Great hotel with pub and restaurant, in a tudor building from the 1700s. The staff were excellent, super friendly and gave me a lot of information about the area, things to do. Only drawback is that due to the age of the building there was a bit of noise from other rooms”
