”I love this hotel and I'm sad not to be able to give it 5 stars but it's sadly suffering from neglect. I know times are hard for hospitality but it could be so much nicer with a few changes.
For instance why have a cupboard obviously meant for a fridge but not have a fridge? Why have fake grass on the balcony which gets full of water and very unpleasant to walk on? Why not have a nice set of furniture on the balcony? we had one chair no table. Our kettle didn't work, the plughole in the...

”We have stayed at the Skipton hotel on a number of occasions and always felt that it was good value for money. There has been some improvements to the property in particular the restaurant. Unfortunately there has been a deterioration in the breakfast!! The coffee served from a heated urn was not hot and when I remarked on this the waitress lifted the lid and remarked well there was steam! ”Room was spotless and appeared to have been recently decorated. Unfortunately there were cracks in the sink and the hotel generally looks a little tired.
The hotel staff were amazing … all so friendly, helpful and welcoming. Particularly Aziz at breakfast and the wonderful bartender Mal. He couldn’t do enough for us, moving furniture around and asking us if we wanted any particular music to be played. He really went above and beyond to make my 89 year old mum’s evening. ”
