”We had a lovely week at the cottage, only one point taken off for comfort as we found the sofas very low and tired, we are seniors and maybe that’s why we were needing firm seats. Our hosts were both friendly and helpful and we were intrigued by the amount of squirrels ðŸ¿ï¸ constantly removing nuts from the tree opposite this was very entertaining. The weather was very kind to us only saw one day of showers. We were warm and happy with our accommodation and the area which we know very well, we...

”Beautiful cottage - ideally situated for exploring North Yorkshire. Like a home from home with everything you need to cater for yourself, although the town has several nice restaurants to choose from. Hosts are on site if you need them although we had no problems. The cottage we stayed in (Bransdale) had a lovely private garden for us to sit in with a little blackbird family coming in and out. Just perfect.”

The Churchill Hotel

8/10 Hyvä

"Excellent location and a beautiful historical house. Our room was too warm and there wasn’t air conditioning which made the night quite uncomfortable. Excellent if a little pricey breakfast."

The Black Swan - The Inn Collection Group

10/10 Loistava

"Had a quick overnight stay on a tour of Yorkshire with partner and four-year-old. The family room was very clean and comfortable with a solid bunk bed for the kid and huge comfy bed for us. It's right on the main square in the village so very nice for walking around. All the parking spots were taken when we were there (there was a local farm show on that day so not terribly surprising), but parking overnight in the square was just fine. Breakfast was really tasty; fresh ingredients beautifully cooked, and great service from the staff. Absolutely would visit again."
