”Had everything we wanted for an excellent overnight stay.”

”Liked friendly and helpful staff, comfortable beds and pillows. Not happy with bathroom bin had not been emptied and floor was dirty. Food was quite pricey. Swimming lessons were happening in the pool - more a gym than spa experience.”

”We had a good stay at the Sloop Inn. Lovely friendly staff. The best breakfast. The property is a little dated, and the bed isn't the most comfortable, but it was all good for a one-night stay. Would recommend.”

”Booked very short notice late in the evening and was greeted by a friendly staff member, who I had spoken to on the phone and advised where their free car park was situated, bonus for Chepstow. Linen etc was nice and clean as was the lovely new looking bathrooms. I realise an older property, but feel in 2026, could definitely do we a makeover, remove those horrible carpets, and stop the creaking floor boards, change your mattress's. Rooms need to be sound proofed as could hear a very loud TV...

They would do anything in their power to make your stay a pleasurable experience. I would strongly recommend the stay, with the Marina literally two minutes away, and the town center a 10 minute walk away. My only problem was the food. It's not the best, and don't have the breakfast you'll be wasting your money, it has very poor quality ingredients. You'd be better off eating...

”Great location, beautifully decorated room and good quality bedding, towels, toiletries etc. However .. our room (9) was TINY .. the gap on one side of the bed was approx 8 inches between the bed and the wall so very difficult to navigate safely particularly at night without stubbing your toe on the one side or bumping into to door handle on the other. There was no where to put a suitcase to unpack other than on the bed or the floor which was difficult for us. The en-suite was tastefully...

”The receptionist was kind enough to let us park our car while we went up to Sugarloaf early in the morning. All the staff are very friendly. We had our dinner at their restaurant. Fish and chips lovely and cooked breakfast was very nice. Lovely view of the mountain from our bedroom. Room is very spacious,nice and clean. Bathroom is lovely and clean. Looking forward staying here again.”
