  • Hilo Lagoon Centre is a mid-century modern building in downtown Hilo, Hawaii Island. Our condo unit 707 offers sweeping views of Mauna Loa, Mauna Kea mountains and the vibrant downtown area. Inside you have two suites flanking the main living area with kitchen. Furnishings are timeless design with wood and a natural wallpaper in the living room, it’s a perfect fit for business or leisure. One bedroom has a king sized bed and ensuite bathroom. The second bedroom has a queen sized bed and en-suite bathroom. The entire condo is air conditioned with three thermostats and air handlers (one in each bedroom, plus the living room).

    There is a fully equipped kitchen with stove/range, microwave, full size refrigerator, toaster, and plenty of plates etc. for 4 guests. There are also three small balconies to dine al-fresco and enjoy the view. There is one dedicated parking space, elevator, and outdoor condo pool.

    Hilo is a historical town with a growing number of restaurants, shops, art galleries and a world famous farmers market. Minutes from shoreline activities like swimming, snorkeling, surfing , hiking, etc.

Heart of Hilo Town, places visited were all 5 minutes or less, love the 2 bedrooms/2 bath, quiet, no congestion of cars and people like hotels. Will definitely stay here again!

We love the central location in Hilo to everything. We also love that the kitchen has everything we need to cook and eat in. Also the entrance was easy to navigate with a lot of luggage. They have luggage carts and grocery carts to use after you get your groceries. The place was wonderful. We will stay again when we go back in December. Many Mahalos!

New home away from home

Building as a whole is a little dated (lobby, hallways, ponds, and parking stall) but looks like a refresh is in progress.The apartment was immaculate and comfortable. The perfect furniture and color palette I would have chosen for my home. I recommend bringing toilet paper, shampoo, and bath soap with you the first night (small quantities of these initial items were provided but didn’t last past first shower). Also test each light source and switch before dark (it may not power what you think); once we figured it out we were golden. Our new home away from home, we loved our stay! Thanks SaltWater!

This is the best property in downtown Hilo! It clean, modern, updated with the best furniture and most of all has an AC in every room. There’s a laundry room right down the hallway from the condo.This condo was the best part of our stay. I would give it 10 stars!
