”Absolutely lovely property at the very top of a hill overlooking Hilo waterfront. The owners are very friendly and helpful if you need them. Otherwise, you never know they’re there. Perfect get away. Close to everything.”

”This is a unique property in a cute rural setting. I could see how it’s not for everyone and it’s most definitely non-traditional. However, the setting is beautiful and the accommodations are adorable. Bed was comfortable, staff were pleasant; although for the most part we were on our own for check in, etc. No issues there, clear communication with directions and door codes were provided. There are indeed a number of ‘rules’ but I saw them more as a guide for how to use this special property...

”We unfortunately were not able to stay at this property due to the lack of air conditioning. We reasonably expected some form of A/C given the warm and humid climate, but this was not mentioned in the listing.Because of medical conditions, air conditioning is a requirement for us, not just a preference. Upon arrival, it became clear we could not safely remain in the room and had to leave shortly after checking in.That said, communication with the host was excellent. Andy was responsive, kind,...

”We enjoyed our stay at the Beach Road Hale while visiting family outside. The unit was very clean and felt very safe. Jordan was very communicative. Even though the unit is on the back of their main residence, it felt very private and we never saw or heard anyone. We've stayed in other rental units in the area and this was our best experience. The A/C units worked great and were an upgrade over several of the other units in the area! We would definitely stay here again!”
