”These were our last 2 days on this island and this was exactly what I hoped for- local style and proximity to secluded shady awesome beaches. Would have loved to stay here longer or the whole time but we explored Kona first then Hilo side. Having once lived on Kauai myself years ago- this is what I remember and longed for!! ”I came for a conference and did not want to stay at the hotel ,boy did I make the right choice ! This cottage is absolutely charming and quiet,well stocked with everything you need to have a wonderful time! We cooked outside most nights and enjoyed different beaches every day. Lava Lava Beach club and the Hale bar at the Fairmont were really nice and both close to the water. We will definitely be back ! Thank you for sharing this wonderful property!”

”We enjoyed are stay at the Ohia Cottage. Pictures are accurate. There is no air conditioning which we knew when we rented the cottage. Fans through out the property. The cottage is surrounded by a lush tropical forest. With that being said, lots of spiders, insects, very vocal frogs and curious gecko’s! Not to forget the roosters and chickens. So, brings ear plugs to sleep. :)”

”This wonderful Zen cottage was perfect for my personal Zen retreat and deepening my spiritual practice. The powerful energy of the area was quite apparent and beneficial for healing and strengthening ones growth process. The cottage was very clean and comfortable with windows on all sides for great breezes. It had a marvelous little balcony and ocean view. I loved it!”

Billy and Berta were great, and their thoughtful amentities were perfect (they truly thought of everything you might need while staying on the island). I really hope we get to come back one day!”

”My husband and I stayed at the 1 bedroom until for 16 glorious days. It was the perfect place on the island for a home base. We drove all over the island. The unit itself is well loved. A little shabby and worn, but very comfortable and clean. We loved the screened in lanai. We had coffee and breakfast out there every day. The sunsets were fantastic. It was also cool in the evenings, perfect for sleeping. George was great to work with, he left us fresh avocados. They were delicious! All in all...

”Lovely place to stay. 1 really tall bed was an adventure to jump into but was fun being so high up off of the ground. The home was really clean and it was a really nice touch with the gift pack. The balcony is really lovely spot early mornings and evenings to chill out on too. ”

”Absolutely OUTSTANDING in all respects! The property is lovely in the cloud forest. The house is extremely clean and well maintained, especially for the environment. Kathryn was excellent and brought fresh eggs for us to enjoy. That being said; first night - Coqui Frogs were a bit hard to handle. Wife was ready to pull a "My Cousin Vinny", except we didn't have a hand gun. By the last night she was actually in love with the forest sounds and misses them at night. We truly hope we are blessed...
