”We went as a foursome to celebrate an anniversary. The staff, as always, are friendly and helpful and the service in the restaurant is efficient and cheerful. We had great rooms with a great view of the fells. The spa is wonderful. I had a fantastic afternoon in the gym and pool then relaxed with a book with occasional trips to the outdoor spa. Being a Club member offers lots of benefits ”

”Amazing, the photos do not do it justice, lovely cosy cottage a home from home and fully equipped. Great location, short walk to village incl pubs and chippy, also access to walks (which pass through livestick fields so dogs on leads). Grizedale forest was a short drive away with really good (long & short) walks, better for dogs off leads. ”

”The rooms were very nicely decorated and beds comfy. Staff very friendly. Breakfast and evening meal very nice. Spacious car park. Easy to walk straight out onto the hills. My only suggesting is that without a ‘boot room’ the stair carpet and landing carpet is a bit grubby ( presumably from muddy boots and wet paws) and needs to be carpet cleaned weekly! ”

”Got a last minute deal and was then upgraded. Very comfy bed, quiet room wifi worked well , refurbished shower hot and strong. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious . Minimal staff tried hard and very friendly. ”
