”It’s on the road to the lake, just outside Ambleside Our room was clean and well appointed. There are no reception staff - but very clear instructions regarding access to the property are sent to you before arrival and further information is provided in the room. We were here for one night and it was ideal for our short stay. ”

”Got a last minute deal and was then upgraded. Very comfy bed, quiet room wifi worked well , refurbished shower hot and strong. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious . Minimal staff tried hard and very friendly. ”

”Stay was good and location was fab, but when we returned home received 4 separate parking tickets for parking in the hotel over our 2 night stay, when we were assured by a member of staff when he checked us in that he also updated the car parking system with our car details. We are now in the middle of trying to sort this out with the car parking company. This could be very off putting to book this accommodation again”

”Very nice room with a terrace outside. Clean and fresh with excellent service. Wonderful breakfast and decent meals on the menu. Very friendly and helpful staff.”

”The hotel was perfect for a family week of rambling in a rain soaked week. Our puppy was welcomed and kids enjoyed the food. The room itself a little cramped with the sofa bed in use but but it was very comfy”
