”Hotel was in a great location, staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was small but it had a fantastic sea view and it was well thought out so you had everything for a short stay. The shower was fantastic and the water hot. Our room was serviced every day. Breakfast was plentiful and well cooked. We really couldn’t fault the hotel and would definitely stay there again.”

No information on which room we had booked.No key in key safe.We only gained access due to a helpful fellow resident, who let us in and helped us find a free room.Room poorly maintained with curtains held up by string and blinds broken.Altogether very poor”

”Probably the nicest room we have stayed in despite spending 2 or 3 times more per night on other trips. Lovely spacious room in period property with exposed beams, brickwork and proper 4 poster bed. The quality of the renovation, and in particular the ornate marble/granite work in the bathroom, was exceptional. Add in a warm freindly welcome and it rates in the top handful of all time great stays.”

”The cottage is centrally located in Whitstable and is beautifully equipped for both comfort and style. We had a very enjoyable short stay (2 nights). The hosts were very helpful.”

”Nothing wrong with the stay, but spent days and days longer 'proving' who I was than spent in Whitstable. Truvi even tried to say I needed a passport to travel about forty miles and needed an identity card to collect the keys (they wouldn't accept my senior bus pass). Key holders also wouldn't release the key until I'd made another payment over and above the two-day rent. I'd already paid the owners and was committed, so I sent more money. A complete con, in my opinion. Wouldn't trust anything...

”The perfect size place for our two couples, and wonderfully located to the water and primary commercial district. Extremely comfortable beds, and the place was fully stocked with everything we could need to enjoy our time in Whitstable. The owner clearly identifies the steepness of the stairs (which they are), but at no time did they impact our enjoyment of the space. If you are looking for a good value in the location you want to be, stop looking and book your stay here!”

”We had a lovely stay at Beach Retreat the views from the chalet were just fantastic and being able to walk from the end of the garden when tide was out either direction was great. If you are a swimmer great to be able to have a swim when the tide was in. Great neighbours either side.I would suggest you take fans as we did as the chalet gets extremely hot (greenhouse springs to mind) with no air con, we also took our own umbrella for the outside table.On a negative note we did think that the...
