”Lovely self sustaining eco resort in the midst of the forest. We loved the food, the coziness of the cabin, the yoga classes, and wandering around the property. The farm tour and the night tour were fun activities to do with a 4 year old. We did not like: occasional smell of sewage around the property, especially around the pools. Dated bathrooms in cabins - needs a refresh. Construction noise around the property. ”

”Had a lovely weekend stay here. The view over Lake Arenal is unbelievable! Ana was a delight every morning and made wonderful breakfasts. Her sweet cats roaming around on the property was a huge plus for me. Great place to stay if you’re looking for somewhere quiet and undisturbed but still only 20 minutes from restaurants/conveniences. There are toucans in the trees next to the bungalow every morning.”

”The location and property are absolutely beautiful! Incredible views! The grounds are kept meticulously! The rooms are clean and neat. The rooms are simple and yet elegant at the same time. The staff were very forgiving of my limited Spanish. A little harder to get to but worth the drive. The restaurant on property was excellent. Just a small sidenote… There was no air conditioner in my smaller room. I knew this going into it and the nice breeze that was almost constant.”

”The rooms were clean, staff is very friendly and aims to please. The lodge offers a simple nice breakfast. Dinner is also available if you confirm - we chose to eat off property. The road to arrive is extremely rough - potholes, less than two lanes at times - but worth it once you arrive. There was no TV in our room, I suggest making certain you have games or other entertainment. I also suggest planning to arrive back at the lodge early evening, before it gets too dark, but only due to the...

”The gardens are incredible and the many humming birds were a joy. I have been in many art galleries with local art. This is one of the better galleries created from many talented artists.”

”We stayed a week and the entire trip was amazing! Patrick was a fantastic host. The view from the property was breathtaking and the daily visits from the toucans and other birds were wonderful. The property is a tremendous bargain, especially when you consider the gourmet, huge breakfasts everyday. So fabulous! It's a 10 minute trip to the supermarket and about an hour to La Fortuna for many of the touristy activities. Great roads, great restaurants all around. The place was clean,...

”Our stay at Lake Arenal was very comfortable. The house is beautiful and the view is stunning. We were greeted upon check in by Tyler who was great and so very helpful throughout our stay. He continued to assist during our stay and provided a wonderful boat tour to see the volcano. Our family of 7 had a great time.”
