”Absolutely wonderful stay for our wedding anniversary. A truly lovely hotel with excellent staff who are helpful, happy and welcoming. Spa is a real bonus. Nothing fancy but lots on offer albeit small in size. Room was incredible. We were in a junior suite and felt at home. Cleaning staff could do with moving cushions/ furniture to ensure it’s fully cleaned as we did find some leftover items by accident. Look forward to returning again.”

”Hotel is very dated but the bed and room were clean. Tv didn’t work but reported on checking out. You get what you pay for and the rooms were cheap so I couldn’t have any complaints. Just used it for a base for Alton towers”

”This was our first spa type hotel we have stayed at in the UK. Loved every minute of it. The pool and the saunas were wonderful, the staff very friendly and helpful, the room very comfortable, the bed excellent. Breakfast was very good, too, especially the sausages were delicious.It was only about 20 mins from Manchester airport. From now on if we need to stay close to the airport, the Mere would be our first choise. Ticked all the boxes, top marks.”

”Wonderful stay. The setting is very peaceful and calm, after a 2 night stay we felt utterly replenished. The beds and pillows were large and comfortable. Robes and slippers were provided. The staff were friendly, approachable and professional. The spa is truly a gem here. Clean , was never crowded and relaxing. We never had any treatments but didn't feel like we missed out on anything. Loved sitting outside the spa and eating after a relaxing spa session. Special mention to Victoria at the spa...

”Amazing setting and beautiful grounds Great place for wedding celebrations However the rooms were rather small with limited facilities for the price paid. Breakfast times restricted to 8-10 , would extend to accommodate guests’needs. Also a bit disappointing you had to pay a supplement to have half of the items on the menu”

”We really liked our stay here. The staff were all really friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our meal in the restaurant, and our dog was made to feel welcome too. The hotel is a beautiful building, and our room was a good size, clean, and comfortable. You could hear noise from neighbours, but not too late. Despite there being plenty of space in the car park, both spaces for the EV chargers were taken by ICE cars. I was able to speak with one driver who did move their car so we were able to charge,...
