”The breakfast was very good although my wife expected fresh grapefruit and cheese. Evening meal very good with excellent friendly service, however I had a very funny version of a prawn cocktail. Car parking excellent. Hotel very difficult to find but once driven fairly easy to navigate. Walked into town which was closer than we thought. Bedrooms small but warm.”

”There was an issue at check in regarding our family room whereby the expedia booking info hadn't pulled through correctly to the hotel. I would recommend emailing the hotel after booking to reconfirm everything. The family room was a decent size, although towels were stained and the free mini's were half used. The pool facilities were lovely. The pool was a little chilly, but jacuzzi very nice and warm.”

”The hotel has a wonderful ambience , probably created by the staff who are extremely helpful and friendly, as well as hard working. The cleanliness and efficiency is created by this commitment shown by the personell”

”Kiva huone ja hyvä aamiainen”

”Room was clean, staff were friendly, breakfast buffet was good.”

”Amazing and super friendly staff”

”We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Great location and staff were all very friendly and helpful. The luggage storage facility was great for both pre and post check in. Will stay again when next in Chester if the price is right”

”Beautifully manor house just outside of Chester with plenty of free parking. The room was spacious and clean. There was plenty of space to relax in the bar area as well as a terrace. Good value for money.”

”The hotel overall was good, it was clean and the staff where good. The room was clean, and the bathroom was clean. The bed was terrible, creaking bed/headboard, the pillows offered no support and the mattress was uncomfortable. Bar was good, breakfast was really good.”

”This was our first spa type hotel we have stayed at in the UK. Loved every minute of it. The pool and the saunas were wonderful, the staff very friendly and helpful, the room very comfortable, the bed excellent. Breakfast was very good, too, especially the sausages were delicious. It was only about 20 mins from Manchester airport. From now on if we need to stay close to the airport, the Mere would be our first choise. Ticked all the boxes, top marks.”

”Hotel is An excellent location for shops, sightseeing etc 👍 Breakfast finishes serving at 9am,too early,I missed it😖”

”I was offered an upgrade from a classic double to a feature double (for an extra £30pn) which I took. It was in the old part of the hotel. The room was very cold as the radiators were not working. I enquired at reception and was told that they would speak to someone to see if it could be sorted. A little while later an electric heater was delivered to the room which did not work and another was requested. This only managed to heat the bedroom while the bathroom remained cold. The window next to...

”Unique and fun hotel, room had nice decor, only a couple of minor things like one of the water glasses was definitely not clean and there were a couple of stains on the bedsheet. 50% off Pepper street car parking also really good!”

”Beautiful room the brilliant evening meal and breakfast”

”Great location only a few minutes walk from centre. Reception staff friendly and helpful. Quiet rooms, good size with comfy bed. Wouldn’t recommend the off site parking that’s recommended by the hotel, very tight parking spaces. Would definitely recommend and would stay again.”

”Brand new modern bathrooms with powerful shower. Room a bit dated but they are working on it. Staff are lovely there is even a pool.”
