”We have stayed at both Walnut Creek and Sugar Creek. Both are excellent choices though we frequent Walnut Creek more often being closest to Berlin and the shops. Though not new facilities you would think that they were just recently built due to their excellent upkeep. Cleanliness, neatness, freshness are good descriptive words for these facilities. Good food is just steps away as are treats and gifts. I would highly recommend either facility for those wishing to enjoy Amish country. Tom”

”Great stay beautiful property”

”Large bathroom and sleeping area are noted. However, the breakfast buffet is just average. The high price for one overnight stay is not appreciated unless you are part of a tour bus or you have plans to take on a theater show nearby.”

”Nice historical bldg”

”The room was big and spacious. The little kitchenette in the room was a nice surprise. The breakfast was delicious.”

”It was a beautiful and rustic place. We loved it. Definitely will come back.”

”Nice place. Only stayed 1 night and wished we could of stayed longer. Maybe next time. Probably not good for little kids. Older adults - it works well”

”What an absolutely amazing property to unwind and relax. I booked the room intending to stay in all day and it was PERFECT. It is clean and better than the photos which is not typically how rentals are!”

”The Garden Gate is a wonderful place, and I hope it will remain that way after is sold by the current owners. Carol the current owner has taken so much pride in her facility and invested so much of herself operating her business. Her influence is everywhere, but she has decided it is time for a new venture in her life, and so well deserved for her and Doug. We wish them the best as we do the new owners. If we make it back to Amish country, I would not hesitate to reserve another room.”

”Great place to stay. Good breakfast. Very nice pool & hot tub. Clean, comfortable and quiet. Would stay again.”

”The Inn was dirty, the fan on the ceiling in our room was layered in dust and the wifi didn't work, We had only a few working channels on the tv. We were not offered a tour of the mansion or complimentary wine and cheese like mentioned on the website. We were told not to call her unless it was an emergency. Then she locked the door to get to the kitchen at 7. So you don't have access to ice , water or anything without calling to ask her. Because our door was outside the mansion and was not...

”The room was very clean and maintained. Loved the jetted, Jacuzzi. Would recommend it to anyone looking for and romantic get away.”
