”Stayed 3 nights. Safe hotel, good parking with lots of staff around. Beautiful landscaping. Very good breakfast buffet. The housekeeper, Laura, was exceptional and room very comfortable and clean. Suggest using shower shoes as the shower was slippery. Short one block walk to upscale restaurants and grocery store and The Moose, a wonderful coffee shop with great food selection. Hotel pool was not heated and there was no elevator to second floor room. Also no written material in the room on hotel...

”Everything about our stay was excellent! The rooms were nice and clean, the grounds were beautiful and well kept, the food at the restaurant was very good, and the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The reception staff helped us arrange tours and transportation, and gave us several good recommendations for places to see and eat. We would definitely stay here again.”

”We spent two nights in a boutique type hotel Volcanes. It was located in the very center of Alajuela. It’s a small family run hotel with a good friendly english speaking staff. Breakfast is served by your order and it certainly is fresh. Rooms are very tidy as all the public areas. You can find rooms for different price categories. We liked it very much. ”

”The perspective of Vulcan Arenal was perfect from this perfectly situated property. Great food ranging from Costa Rican to international, available throughout the day. I preferred their salt water pool to staying at a different resort which featured thermal pools- then we chose to drive back to eat here once more- so good. Just know in advance that you may not drive to your room; must take a jitney.”

”I just stayed for one day but will return. The room was spacious and clean with AC and comfortable bed. Excellent mountain view! There’s a really nice pool also. There’s a very famous pizza restaurant at the property so perhaps at night could get a bit loud, but it’s low noise so I didn’t mind. The staff is incredibly friendly and professional. Got to meet the owner also so that was a plus😀”
