”Great stay in a classic English village hotel. Very central and easy walking to all sites of interest.”

”Nice and cozy as usual. The “kitchen” is just a microwave oven and a tiny fridge… not worth the value.”

”Huone todella pieni. Katutasossa vilkkaan liikenteen vieressä, ohikulkijat näkivät suoraan huoneeseen. Ei jatkoon.”

”A very disappointing stay. We booked a deluxe sea view (with large bay window) double or twin room via Expedia. On arrival at the hotel we did not get the room we booked and paid for. According to Expedia’s description and photographs the room we were given was a STANDARD double room for SINGLE occupancy. As the hotel was fully booked we had to tolerate this very small room with four steps up to the bathroom and really not enough room for two people. The room in no way bore any resemblance to...

”The location to central Exeter city centre”

”I had a comfortable night - despite facing the main road the double glazing kept the noise out (although as the weather was dreadful there were fewer drunken parties roaming the streets compared with a typical Saturday night). I didn't have breakfast so can't comment. My room was recently decorated though other parts of the hotel (such as the carpet on the main stair) could do with some attention.”

”Lovely place right by the sea with super friendly staff. Parking also with your room and good food. Hotel is what you expect for the price but staff are wonderful. I don’t like electric showers as you can’t get heating right on them. But that’s normal for these older hotels. Would happily stay again.”

”Arrived and allocated room and put all our luggage in room only to be treated by bathroom being flooded from above. This should have been checked prior to check in. We were allocated a new room but no compensation for the hassle caused after a long day of travel.”

”Stayed for one night on a business trip. Very nice establishment, quick check in and out, great breakfast, room was spacious and well equipped”

”The staff so helpful”

”Very friendly staff and clean hotel. Right next to the beach and short walk to train station. Normal english breakfast, but no vegetables. ”

”Lovely old hotel with character ideally situated on the sea front,we had a superior room with small balcony to sit out on to enjoy the great views . Good size car park at very reasonable price. Excellent buffet breakfast. We had two 3 course evening meals, beautifully cooked, good service. Rooms a little dated, smallish bathroom but had everything needed. All the staff were cheery, friendly and helpful --we had a problem with the TV, the receptionist came up and sorted it straightaway. A very...

”Stayed one night”

”The room although old fashioned (what do you expect in such an old property), was clean, warm and comfortable. The owner very happy to help with any requirements. And the breakfast was excellent made fresh after seating, the sausages are particularly good.”
