”The room was very clean and comfortable. The bathroom was really clean with a corner bath and large walk in shower. We had a large sitting room also. There was a cute little courtyard outside with a couple of tables and chairs. The staff were friendly and we had a delicious breakfast in the morning.”

”We had a great stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and both the rooms and communal seating areas were clean and well maintained.”

”Friendly and helpful staff and excellent food in restaurant. Nice Lochside location. Great location for visiting the nearby Dumfries House a short drive away.”

”Rauhallinen ja hyvä hotelli reilun kilometrin päässä juna-asemalta. Hyvä palvelu ja tyylikäs aamiainen. Vieressä suuri laukkarata. Hotelli on erikoistunut häiden järjestämiseen, joten jos sellaiset sattuu kohdalle, niin äänet saattavat laskea mukavuustasoa. ”

”Kaikin puolin mukava, idyllinen pieni kylä.Ystäbälisiä ihmisiä.”

”Comfortable room with nice shower room and spotlessly clean. Tasty food and excellent service in the restaurant. Right on the seafront with lots of parking”

”Brilliant view to the roof of the hotel with a massive cooling fan making noise all night. Not so nice actually. Restaurant is complicated and for a tourist a bit uncomfortable. The staff doesn't really make contact with you and you don't know when to order, where to order, how to pay etc. It's a time machine. Stuck somewhere in 90's /2000. But clean at least and location is nice.”

”Friendly helpful staff, clean room slightly tired, excellent breakfast with quality sausages and bacon! Friday and Saturday nights can be quite loud outside the hotel being a city centre location.”

”We booked a family room”

”Front Desk and Wait Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good and there was a wonderful dinner menu. We ordered starters and mains and all were exceptionally delicious!”

”A good, clean, well-maintained hotel. Kind and helpful staff who were professional. Room was clean and well maintained. Free car parking on-site. Good food and very substantial breakfast.”

”Ideally placed in the town centre.”

”Really nice room. Bathroom was lovely (some hairs in sink when we arrived, but not that a big deal). There was a wedding on in the hotel, with music heard thumping in our room until quite late (we’re not killjoys, but it was impossible to sleep and very loud). It would have been good to know this when booking, as we would have looked elsewhere. Called down to ask reception and they were dismissive and a bit rude. Also loud music heard in room in the morning as well.”

”I had the best stay here! Sinclair was an amazing host, as well as the rest of the staff st the guesthouse too. I loved the little touch of the cookies and the bottles of water in the room too. Breakfast was tasty too. I would recommend anyone to stay here, I know I’ll be coming back here when I’m next in Ayr. Thank you all at the Lochinver Guesthouse!”

”Great for our small group of 4 adults.”
