Room had no windows, dark and really unacceptable for even half the price.. I stay in hotels around 100 nights per year, this is the worst I’ve seen in over 30 years, including China, India and many other places”

”Welcomed by a great receptionist friendly and knowledgeable, got parked in car park small fee but didn’t mind good clean room with clean bathroom and good powerful shower . Will definitely stop there again ”

”The pros: The venue is beautiful, perfect for weddings. There was a wedding whilst I was there, and it looked fantastic. It was easy to get to from the old roan train station. Maybe 15-20mins walk. It was comfortable. Breakfast served at 8 was good and what was needed. There's a nice bar and restaurant to relax. The staff were helpful and very friendly. You could also chat with them which was good. The cons: It was difficult to work the shower. It all operated from the taps from the bath and...

”Everything was excellent, only observation was there was no lift and being of a certain age and used to a bungalow it was quite difficult getting up stairs, but staff did volunteer to carry the bags. The staff and the food were lovely.”

”Fabulous property with very helpful staff. Ran the local Parkrun and missed breakfast time but was made some fantastic bacon sandwiches when we both returned to the guest house. Staff was very accommodating which made the visit very enjoyable.”

”I stayed at the Warwick, Southport from Friday 26th September - Monday 29th September during the British Musical Firework Championship 2025. Finding good-quality accommodation for a reasonable price during the weekend is almost impossible as establishments raise their prices as large numbers of people flock to the town for the weekend and many places selling out soon after the dates are announced. This is not my first stay, having come across The Warwick, Southport almost a year ago. ”

”We needed a cheap room near The Open and The Marlborough Hotel achieved this. Booked 2x single rooms with en-suite. My room was absolutely fine - except the bathroom wasn't clean, the toilet seat wasn't attached and the water pressure was weak. Otherwise, the staff were friendly, there is a free car park & I broadly felt safe.”
