”An old-fashioned hotel in an old building but there's nothing wrong with that - it has character, unlike a lot of modern anodyne ones. Service was exceptional: accommodating and friendly. It is located dead in the centre of the old town and is ideally placed for exploring it (and for staggering back from the pubs!). It also has a well regarded Thai restaurant on the ground floor, so no need to go far if you don't want to. There is free parking at the back. I would certainly stay again if I was...

”Arrived relatively later on in the day, and reception was closed, but it was not an issue as I picked up my key from the security office, which is not far from the hotel at all, and they were very helpful and quick to give me the room key and swipe card for the building. Parking was also very easy as you just park in the main UEA car park then use the terminal next to the lift to validate your registration for free parking. Room was immaculate and had great amenities, full tea and coffee...

”We stayed here due to a wedding at nearby Bruisyard. It was a lovely stay and I couldn’t fault it, a beautiful setting full of nature and a very well preserved property. Liz was very accommodating allowing us to drop our luggage and car off earlier than check in; we also came down to a very very nice breakfast with something for everyone. ”
