”While the Hotel is in a super location it is in need of updating. There was no drawers in the room to put clothes in and room157 had water dripping from a light fitting in the bathroom. This has obviously happened for some time as there was staining on that part of the ceiling. I reported this to reception as we checked out. There was no lu brush and we had to ask for another toilet roll as only one half used was provided. The food was average. Not somewhere we would stay again”

”I highly recommend this hotel. Very friendly and professional staff. Every member of staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome. An excellent choice of breakfasts included in the price. The restaurant was excellent in the evenings. The location is fantastic with wonderful views of the beautiful Peak countryside.”

”It was very disappointing, we arrived midday and there was only one waiter in the bar trying to serve drinks for everyone in the bar, restaurant and around the outdoor pool. He was also taking orders for food and serving the food. He really was doing his best and could only keep apologising. To make things worse there was only one person in the kitchen!!
The hotel is poorly managed and desperately needs more staff in the bar and restaurant.
We were glad we didn’t stay there for dinner.

”The standard double room was much smaller than expected, and the bed was two singles pushed together with a thin double topper, which made the bed very uncomfortable and lumpy. We told reception after the first night and they arranged for a better topper to be put on. If the standard double was this small then the small double must have been tiny. The bathroom was a good size though.
Rooms are only cleaned if specifically requested at reception the night before. This wasn't made clear - there...
