”Thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the hotel! The breakfast was delicious and the staff very helpful. I didn't have a chance to visit the pool and sauna however. Only item to note is the central heating system was broken the weekend that I stayed. The hotel helpfully supplied a portable heater, which helped in the evening. ”

”Lovely room at top, very spacious, extremely comfortable bed, bathroom spacious. Cooked breakfast was superb and beautifully presented. Staff were welcoming, helpful and friendly. Weeny downside, I had already paid via Expedia, my partner didn't realise, and when checking in, whilst I was elsewhere, paid for the room. Luckily he mentioned it later, and it got sorted and refunded. Would definitely stay there again, beautiful old building, and although a pub was very quiet in our room, ...

”Location is perfect, close to lots of things to do and see. The staff are all very nice and friendly, can't folt them at all. The room we stayed in could do with a bit of an upgrade in the bathroom and a freshen up but it was still a nice enough stay. Food was beautiful, dining room was very clean and nicely presented. Would highly recommend.”

”Fridge wasn't actually cold, jammed outer window that wouldn't close so there was consistent traffic noise from being next to major road. The fan/heater unit system is ancient, full of lint / dust and very ineffective -- particularly the heater setting (not very warm and would turn off after a couple of minutes). General cleanliness not great -- hairs etc in the bathroom, dirty carpet. There was also the most annoying buzz coming from various electronics in the room and the plug system to turn...

”We had a wonderful stay here with our son, both sets of grandparents, and our dog, and it was perfect for everyone. From the moment we arrived, the first impression was fantastic. The spa was lovely and a great place to relax, and the food was brilliant throughout our stay. Breakfast was delicious, although it did take a little while to arrive.
