”We stay in Des Moines often for doctor visits, this may be our favorite! The breakfast was very good with a nice variety. The pool is clean and spacious. My son loves the hot tub. Great location, not too busy, near food and shopping.”

The hotel is pet friendly but they warned that there will be a $200 fine if the pets are left unattended, we were there only for one night, but we always travel with our dogs and there are times we have to leave them in the room for a bit, so keep that in mind.”

”Exceeded expectations. Hotel was very clean. I watched the attendant clean a room, and she is very thorough. Everything is kept neat, inside and out. Continental breakfast was decent with lots of options. Only ding is only 1 ice machine, located on the 2nd floor. Overall, I'd come back!”

”The only issue I had was with the slides. The rules on what life jacket to wear wasn’t posted anywhere. My son went down one slide with a life jacket and the second time was told he couldn’t wear that one. He had to wear one that buckled in the back not in the front. The rules weren’t posted on the life jackets. ”

”I rarely write reviews for hotels, but for a first time stay, I was quite impressed with the hotel and beauty of both the outside and inside, the friendly staff and the convenience and location. The bed and pillows were so comfortable and the lobby and bar area are very modern and charming. Highly recommended! ”
”This was a lovely hotel, very close to the Skywalk, which is an amazing walking network, connecting much of the downtown area - safe, secure, and climate controlled. I was in a tournament at the Iowa Events Center and it was an easy 15 minute walk - no car, no hassle!
The staff were friendly and helpful.
