”While the place is well located and the staff are lovely, this is really a 3 star hotel. It was clean, but some aspects of the room were not “4-star” quality (scuff marks on wall, quality of the bed and sheets, etc). As other reviews have mentioned, you can feel the coils in the mattresses which can be uncomfortable. Having a kitchen + washer/dryer was very helpful for us and a big reason we booked here. Coming from a “true” 4 star aparthotel in London, this property was a little...

”This was a beautiful apartment to stay in, with the perfect mix of historic charm and fresh, modern finishes. We did have a mix-up with our booking, as the room was reserved for three people but didn’t have a sleeping option for the third guest. However, reception responded quickly and made things right, which we really appreciated. Overall, we had a lovely stay and I would definitely stay here again.”

12. South Lane Apartments - City Centre

Edinburghin keskusta

”My biggest “surprise” for this property was the entrance via a lane way. Be warned that the laneway is a common area also used by local restaurants to store their dumpsters! So as long as you’re okay walking by trash every day to get to the entrance, the property is fine. Also, the property consists of 3 apartments which you enter via a stairway. Apartment 1 is on the first floor which means you need to climb a flight of stairs to get it. I was given apartment 3 which means I had to carry...

”The staff was helpful and friendly, facilities clean and tidy, interior design modern and pleasant. The room had a smart tv in it so Netflix in the evening was possible and relaxing. There's no breakfast buffet in a common breakfast room, but instead you get a basket loaded with food such as bread and cereal in your room, as well as fresh fruits and milk, juices and eggs in the fridge, so you cook your breakfast in your room's kitchenette, which is well equipped, without having to bear in mind...

Moxy Edinburgh Airport

8/10 Hyvä

"Hyvä lentokenttähotelli, kävelymatka terminaalista. Kuntosali on plussaa, vaikka ei iso olekaan."

YOTEL Edinburgh, Select by Hilton

8/10 Hyvä

"I’ve got dual feelings of the hotel. The room was good: clean, spacious, and the bed was excellent. However, it wasn’t possible to adjust the room temperature: it reset to 20 degrees right away. Breakfast was decent but its organization was chaotic: it was split into two zones, and something was always missing from one of the buffets which forced people to shuttle between the two zones. One of the zones was also unbearably loud."

CODE - The Court, Edinburgh

10/10 Loistava

"I finally stayed in the Court Room, and it was worth the wait. Interestingly, the 28-pod mixed dorm was even quieter than an earlier stay I had in a smaller female-only room. A very positive surprise! It was great to see how seriously my previous feedback was taken. I deeply appreciated the handwritten apology note from before, as well as the lovely welcome gift (a card and some fudge) left in my pod this time. What truly completes the experience, however, is the professional staff; those who offer genuine kindness, polite "extra words," and a welcoming approach are what make this stay feel so high-quality. It is wonderful to see such excellence and care from these team members. A small note for maintenance: I usually find the 1st-floor ladies' bathrooms spotless, but this time there was an unusual amount of water on the floors inside the toilet cubicles (not the shower area), and even in the basket for sanitary products. Also, the background music was missing on that floor—it’s such a nice mood-lifter usually! The other floors were perfect, though. Despite these minor points, this remains my absolute favorite place to stay. I will definitely be back and will continue to recommend it!"
