Kaunis Lomatalo upealla merinäköalalla rauhallisella ja suojaisella paikalla

Tilava hyvin varusteltu loma-asunto sijaitsee rauhallisella suojaisessa ympäristössä, jossa suuri suljettu puutarha ja upea merinäköala yli Little Bernera ja Atlantin. On 2 isoa kahden hengen huonetta, 1 kahden hengen huone ja kahden hengen vuodesohva alakerran oleskelutilassa jos nukkuu 8. Toinen mittava lounge yläkerrassa on iso kulmasohva ja patio ikkunat, jotka avautuvat Julian parveke täysimääräinen näkemykset - loistava paikka rentoutua iso lasi viiniä.

Tie talon päättyy 200 metrin alempana kivirannalle - ei ole ohikulkevaa liikennettä, vain outoa tutkimusmatkailija, joten hyvin rauhallinen. Bosta Beach ja rautakauden House on vain kahden mailin päässä - erittäin miellyttävä kävellä - on olemassa myös monia muita upeita rantoja helpon ajaa. Golden Eagles pesä paikallisesti ja ovat usein nähty - alue on täydellinen luonnon ystäville, Ramblers ja pyöräilijöiden keskuudessa tutkia. Vesiurheilua, kuten surffausta ja melonta ovat myös suosittuja aktiiveja. Paikallinen veneretkiä ovat käytettävissä saarille tai voit käydä lähellä Callanish Standing Stones, Black House kylään Gearrannan tai matkustaa hieman kauemmas majakka Butt of Lewis kanssa on upeat rannikon maisemat.

Läheisessä kylässä Breacleit on pieni kauppa ja huoltoasema ja siellä on myös monitoimitalo kahvila ja internet-palvelut. Pääkaupunki Lewis on Stornoway, joka on etäisyys 25 mailia (40 minuutin ajomatka) ja on kaksi suurta supermarketit valita molemmista koti toimitukset.

On olemassa kaksi kylpyhuonetta - alakerrassa yksi sisältää yläsuihku vaan katon korkeus on hieman alhainen (vanha osa talon!) joten jos olet yli 5'8 "ehkä Crouch hieman käyttää sitä! Hyvin varustetussa keittiössä astianpesukone, pesukone, mikroaaltouuni, täyskorkea jääkaappi pakastin ja kuivausrumpu (joka on kuisti). Olohuoneesta on erillinen ruokailutila ja oleskelutila ja kuisti, joka ei jätä ulkopuolelle vaatteita, saappaita jne. Sekä öljy- keskuslämmitys on puuhella alakerrassa viihtyisiä iltaisin.

On televisiot molemmissa oleskelutilat sekä makuuhuone jotta lapset voivat katsella heidän suosikki kanavaa keskeyttämättä omasi! Olemme toimittaneet DVD / CD-soitin sekä valikoima videoita ja CD-levyjä sekä telakka käytettäväksi omaa mp3-soitin. Kirjoja ja pelejä paikan päällä liikaa. Mobile signaali on vähän arvaamaton, mutta on toimiva puhelinkoppi vastapäätä talon vain jos kaikki muu epäonnistuu (jota ei ole vielä tapahtunut). Satelliittilaajakaista on asennettu kätevästi.

A great location to visit beautiful beaches and all that Harris and Lewis offer. We had wonderful blue skies as well as rain and wind giving us the fully Hebridean experience. The house was very well equipped, clean and warm. The box of treats and card was a lovely thoughtful welcome. Unfortunately, the woodburning stove was out of action which was disappointing and a couple of other small things (that are easily resolved) have made this a 4 star review but in essence this is a great place to visit.

The Isle of Lewis is a magical place to visit and this house makes an ideal base to explore the scenery. The property is large and comfortable and very warm with decent views of the sea, and unbelievable night sky views ( this is truely a dark sky location great for astrophotography) Stornoway isn't too far away, but in any case, you won't see many cars while driving around.. The hosts were easily contactable via phone or email, and will try to recify situations if they arise, however the one problem they couldn't fix was the neighbour's barking dog.

This is a very clean, comfortable and warm property. There is ample space even for a large family. We have just returned from a 10 night stay and the house gave us everything we needed. The owners are very friendly and helpful. They are also easy to contact. The VRBO app decided to lose all our correspondence somehow and I got hold of Evelyn straight away, she sent the information directly. There is plenty of parking and a good sized garden. Unfortunately the weather was quite poor during our stay so we weren't able to sit outside. We would highly recommend this property if you need space, comfortable beds, a good view and a quiet location.

We loved this warm cosy house in a beautiful location far off the beaten track. The house was spotlessly clean and very well equipped. Great to have the central heating with the horrible weather we had. Beautiful views from the upstairs sitting room. Would happily go back. Thank you to the hosts.

We had a wonderfully peaceful holiday at Glen cottage, which was a pleasure to stay in & all arrangements/communications with the owners were straightforward & prompt: check in & property info was sent to us well before our trip, which was greatly appreciated as we had a 2 day journey to get there! Also we were greeted by a huge variety of drinks (kindly put out for us) including alcoholic & decaf tea - both favourites. The surrounding area is just amazing, perfect for anyone wanting to 'get away from it all' & experience some natural beauty. A big thank you Evelyn.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the cottage in Croir. Our children loved the garden. We loved the view of the sea. On our first day we saw a pair of golden eagles hovering above the garden. The cottage felt welcoming. It was well equipped and tastefully furnished. We enjoyed reading books about the local history.

A beautifully appointed house, very spacious but cosy. Excellent facilities too with internet, TV, DVD's and games for the rainy days. The upstairs lounge was a great place to relax with a stunning view to the sea and the islands beyond. We highly recommend Glen Cottage for any group or family looking for a rural escape.

It‘s a lovely house with an amazing quietness. You can hear some animals, the wind and only sometimes you hear something man made like a car or a ship. It’s extremely remote, therefore you can’t just go around the corner to buy some stuff or go to a restaurant, but we have been looking for exactly such a location, including the rough and beautiful landscapes and it was perfect for us. Thank you Evelyn for sharing your house with us!

This cottage was our home for 2 weeks and was used as a base to explore the Isle of Lewis and Harris. Convenient to all major attractions and an easy commute to Stonaway Evelyn and Graeme were excellent hosts who were very quick to respond when required. The cottage is well equipped and very clean. We had a great week in the cottage, it was very well equipped and in a very quiet and peaceful location with stunning views to the sea and islands. The cottage was very spacious and the bedroom we chose downstairs was so comfortable, would definitely visit again and would recommend this also. We had good weather and went to most places of interest, especially Luskentyre beach which was stunning and well worth the drive.

My family and I spent a most wonderful Christmas at Glen Cottage. It was our first time on Lewis, it it certainly won’t be the last! Evelyn and Graeme surprised us with some lovely Christmas decorations, a most generous hamper and beautiful handwritten card. The house (especially the kitchen) was well equipped, we didn’t miss anything! Everything was clean, the house itself very spacious and offered stunning views from every window. Most of all we enjoyed the wood burning stove and spent really cosy evenings in front of the fire. We can’t thank Evelyn and Graeme enough for offering us this opportunity of a perfect holiday.

Lovely spacious house, v quiet and comfortable with beautiful views. Great for exploring local beaches and further afield. Plenty of space for chilling out when the weather not good. Heated up quickly so nice and cosy.

A great location and accommodation for a getaway vacation. The cottage has everything you could ask for. The view from the upstairs lounge is something to behold, and yes, we also saw the eagles. Travelling to and from Stornaway when we needed to was all part of the adventure. We would also recommend Cameron’s chippy in Stornaway. We would not hesitate to visit again. If we are in this part of the world. A few niggles, The microwave needed a good clean ( which we did ), the fridge has seen better days and should be replaced , and mould on the sink in the bathroom should be an easy fix. Overall a good stay.

We had the most fantastic time travelling round we saw the golden Eagle on our last day just sat on the rocks infront of the house the beaches were amazing and we were more than lucky weather wise and swam daily ....definitely worth a visit x

La maison est très accueillante, chaleureuse. Située dans un lieu reculé de l’île, au calme, avec une très belle vue. Le panier d’accueil est une attention très appréciée. Penser à faire des courses avant d’arriver cependant. Nous y avons passé une très belle semaine sur une île absolument magnifique. N’hésitez pas.

This is a wonderful house in a very remote but impressive area. Big rooms, nice furniture, great kitchen, dining room and bathrooms. Lovely views from every window. You can feel very comfortable when you don' t want to go out because of the wheather...!
