Lomamökit – Isle of Mull

”An excellent short break, very relaxing. Weather not great but expected due to the time of year, this didn't spoil the week. Staff were excellent and most helpful. The Jamming session of local musicians in the middle of the week was a treat”

”This was our first visit to the West Highlands and we were not disappointed. A beautifully maintained resort within a spectacular setting. We had planned to visit the islands during the week but found so much to do locally we decided to save the islands for a future visit. We particularly enjoyed the local walks from the resort which we purchased from reception for £1 on arrival. We also enjoyed some beautiful cycle rides in particular along the Crinan Canal, as well as enjoying local areas of...

”Sadly we only had a very short 1 evening stay at this beautiful location. We would have enjoyed more time here. In that short time we received above and beyond care. I asked where we might be able to find ice when checking in. The nearest market was already closed for the evening. Olwen from reception was so nice. She said she couldn’t promise, but her husband might be able to help. An hour or so later her husband knocked on the door with our special delivery. So incredibly kind. Thank you...

Immer wieder.”

”The setting is idyllic in lovely peaceful surroundings, nature all around. The cottage is large, airy and bright and everything you could need was provided. Although quite a distance from Oban, the main road was pretty quiet and a pleasant drive. The pool was an added bonus, but the sauna wasn't working. We were there on the hottest weekend of the year, so didn't need the sauna.”

”Was a great cottage plenty space all mod cons only thing that was at fault some of bedsheets had smoky smell”

”Really enjoyed our stay.Just did not have enough time to spend on all the things available. Just a nice part of the world to be in”

”This is the second time we have stayed in walled garden.cottage no. 2. My two grandchildren love it but.I think maybe it could.do with a.wee freshen.up. On the other hand I cannot praise your customer service highly enough, especially one of your reception staff named Alwyn. She was the nicest , most helpful lady I have ever come across. I will definitely be back .”

”We extended our stay in Melfort village and were rewarded with beautiful weather. Upper Cooperage is a lovely comfortable apartment which now has an ensuite shower room as well as main bathroom. Everything we need is provided and the village is so peaceful and relaxing. All the staff are welcoming & helpful & the Monday music night was great fun. Recommend a stay here.”

”Melfort Village is terrific. Beautiful setting and marvellous accommodation. There is a pool, tennis court, putting green, restaurant /bar (great food)and lots of space. The staff are great, enthusiastic and helpful.Walks in the nearby hills or to the lochs. The Village is well placed for access to the magnificent nearby scenery (but do not follow the receptionist recommendation as to how to get to the falls - the road is a nightmare and there is a longer but better way!). All in all just a...

”Beautiful cottage. We really enjoyed our stay and the stream behind and private garden was a treat. The facilities as always are wonderful and I hope that the shower of herring is open fully next year.”

”Great stay in a beautifully presented cottage, highly recommend Melfort village. Second stay in the village first time in this cottage - fantastic”

”Excellent and relaxing short break at a very good price. The resort is very dog friendly and the staff are extremely helpful.”

”Absolutely beautiful and well maintained cottage. Roomy and comfortable beds and large towels. A little secluded for a nice quiet get away close to the water.”

”We stayed only two nights. The property is about 30 minutes outside of Oban at the edge of a smaller loch and just outside a small village. The staff was very accommodating and helpful, including when we had an issue (likely self-inflicted) with a washing machine. We would definitely stay again, and make time to stay longer and enjoy more of the area as well as the property’s many amenities. Strongly recommended.”

”Although I filled in a questionnaire and handed it in at Melfort Village reception when I left I have completed this one as well because I really enjoyed my week there. The weather was lovely and the views to die for. My friends and I had a day on Luing with lunch at the Atlantic Islands Centre which was excellent. Disappointing that the Shower of Herring was closed from Monday. My only complaint was that when I arrived on Saturday Sept.14th in torrential rain and gales there was no heating on...

”We had a wonderful stay at Melfort. A few days on our own, then joined by our daughters and baby grand daughter, we were cosy, warm and relaxed. The lodge was perfect, baby gates and highchair provided, and the pool lovely and warm, encouraged a swim every day! The staff are friendly and super helpful, even giving the wee one a present from Santa before she left! This was our third visit, and it definately won't be our last.”
