âGreat hotel! The rooms are small, but very fresh! The bed, blanket and pillows are very comfortable and fresh. The hotel's location is good, the subways are nearby, central park is also within walking distance. The cafe downstairs is absolutely wonderful, very good coffee and delicious breakfast. âRoom had pretty much everything it said to have, although 1 of the "queen" beds was a sofa bed. Construction site on the street made some difficulties with walking and taxi. Neighbourhood is pretty rough but very close to Soho shopping places and Broadway. â
âThe size of the room was good, compared to some other Manhattan hotels. The staff was A+, but the building itself had some issues: the elevators (both) broke down at the same time, water pressure in the shower was low, and it took some time to get some warm water. Breakfast was little modest, coffee/tea etc., bagels, and muffins. Over all, location is good (subway stations near), the staff is friendly, and if you can live with waiting for awhile getting a hot shower, I'd choose this hotel again.â
âWe just wrapped up a 10-day stay at Hotel Beacon in New York City, and it was the perfect spot for our family. Traveling with two small kids can be tricky, but this hotel made it much easier. The kitchenette in our room was an absolute lifesaverâhaving a place to whip up quick meals or snacks for the little ones was such a relief. Itâs not something you find in every NYC hotel, so it really set this place apart for us.

"The hotel is conveniently situated very near the bus station and near several subway stops. It's also within walking distance of Amtrak. You can easily get to various theaters and Times Square.
My room was a bunk bed room at a ridiculously high price. I understand various things affect the pricing of the room, but this was so high, I wouldn't have booked it had I not been desperate. That price for such a small room with, again, bunk beds, was far too high.
That said, there were positives about the room, too. Ample outlets in the room, including USB A and C. It was a nice thought to give both beds their own TV, however, when I turned on my TV, the other turned on also. Waste of electricity to have two TVs on if you only want to watch one, or inconvenient if you and your roomate want to watch different channels.
The view from the large windows was nice, in my case toward the southern end of Manhattan. You could hear traffic even to the 22nd floor, but the hallway and neighboring rooms seemed quiet.
I could consider staying here again, but I would not book a bunk bed room, nor would I pay as much for the room, regardless of its type."
