”It was a great location. We did find the car park a little bit tight and tricky to get into (as the road was fairly busy when we arrived). The cottage was great and had all we were after and the downstairs bathroom was great for my elderly Mum. The two single beds mattresses were a bit past their best so the only thing I’d suggest to improve the property would be an update of those. Otherwise it was a great place to stay right on the river.”

”Lovely historic property- complete with all the quirks such as uneven floors, log burner, and a lovely wooden staircase. Great location to get into town too, and really quiet and peaceful at night. I had a lovely break here with my partner, felt like a proper escape.”

”Very pleasant small property. 5 mins walk from central Ambleside. Well equipped and warm. Perhaps a bit small for a family of 4 but great for two people. Nicely decorated with thoughtful touches. Only one parking space but a car park 4 mins walk down the hill. Would recommend.”
