”Cool historic place but for the price would’ve rather just visited. Super small rooms, one bar with five seats, no real on site dining for dinner, and man they better fix that water pressure as you’ll get more wet sweating than standing under that. Prob my last time visiting but cool place”

”This hotel was mediocre at best. The tv was facing the left side of the room and could not be turned toward the bed so you could actually see it. When watching from the bed you could not read subtitles because of the angle of the tv in relation to the bed. You could sit on the sofa and watch. The air conditioner was dreadful. It never got below 70 and the room was stuffy. I finally asked for a box fan and they gave it to me. We paid a lot for the room and would have expected more of a luxury...

”I really have zero complaints about my stay here. It was a beautiful property with easy beach access. My salmon dinner at the 24 restaurant was excellent and the staff was friendly & helpful. Highly recommend!”

”This little boutique hotel is in a perfect location for walk ability to restaurants and retail in downtown St. Simons. The staff are nice and professional. I highly recommend Village Inn and Pub for your next visit. ”

”The Kress was an amazing surprise for my wife and I during a quick overnighter to meet up with some old childhood friends. I grew up in this area and the downtown district had been forgotten. It was great to see this place back to life. The Kress has done an excellent job restoring this old department store. The rooms are incredible with large common space and bedrooms. I wished we had booked an extra night. ”

”My “average” ranking is largely due to our room maintenance. Our room was only cleaned once during our 10 day stay, and even then, I had to go to the front desk for items they missed. Beyond that, the facility and grounds were well maintained. Staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. Breakfast was typical hotel buffet, but coffee was refreshed throughout the day. ”

”Rooms were clean, location is excellent and so is the staff. I chose to pay more for this hotel because of the location, it's convenience to downtown and the restaurants in the area. It met those expectations. My only complaints are that twice the landscapers in the area were operating a blower early in the morning waking everyone up. The TV remote sucked. The wifi sucked more than the TV remote. For some reason, cellphone service on the island is spotty and in the hotel it was terrible. ...

”Great location. ECHO food was very good. Staff courteous. Cleanliness was excellent. We were in the historic building and the room was very small. The issue we had was the room location inches from the side entrance stairwell. This made it very noisy often at night.”
