”The Kress was an amazing surprise for my wife and I during a quick overnighter to meet up with some old childhood friends. I grew up in this area and the downtown district had been forgotten. It was great to see this place back to life. The Kress has done an excellent job restoring this old department store. The rooms are incredible with large common space and bedrooms. I wished we had booked an extra night. ”

”Rooms were clean, location is excellent and so is the staff. I chose to pay more for this hotel because of the location, it's convenience to downtown and the restaurants in the area. It met those expectations.
My only complaints are that twice the landscapers in the area were operating a blower early in the morning waking everyone up. The TV remote sucked. The wifi sucked more than the TV remote. For some reason, cellphone service on the island is spotty and in the hotel it was terrible. ...
