”The hotel is newly updated. The room was large and the kitchen equipment was great. This room was oceanfront and we had a beachside porch which was great.”

”Staff is great. Rooms are clean. There are plenty of great shops nearby and many within walking distance of the motel. The beach is just steps from your back door, with a great view. I love the back porch of the rooms.”

”Our room had pretty textured walls and beautiful artwork. The furnishings were also high quality. Its a 3 minute walk to the beach, and within a few minutes drive of a mini-mart, ice cream place, and some restaurants. I couldn't figure out when checkout time was, but another guest told me 11am. Also the doors have # codes on them so you can check in without seeing anyone. But the insides of the doors don't have slide locks, so we were worried about someone being able to enter if they found out...

”We enjoyed our stay. Have not been back to the area in over 12 years. I came to visit family that was visiting in the area. We had the perfect room, for what we needed. Will definitely stay again.”

”Staff were friendly and very welcoming. We found a few maintenance things that they sprung into action to take care of. We were in a suite with a sitting room. The room was quaint and offered a wonderful outdoor porch. The only con to our stay is how uncomfortable the bed was. It was hard and spring filled which kept us tossing most the night with lack of comfort. We left before breakfast, so we aren’t sure how that was, but it smelled good! ”The parking lot is definitely tight and requires you to turn around in a tight space. I don’t recommend bringing big cars. Most of the rooms overlook parking lots on both sides so we had to keep the shades closed most of the time. That being said it was super clean. They provide a great number of towels which was appreciated - and they were super soft. The property was old but that allows you to be right on the beach with beach access so it’s a great trade up. ”Been staying at Shutters for years and have always appreciated the good value, proximity to the beach and simple but clean rooms. This visit, the room had a damp feel and bad moldy smell to it. Breakfast is usually well supplied but this time no milk and several other items when I visited. Trash in room was picked up only once during my five night stay. Might be looking elsewhere.”
