”I am so glad i found the FCI for our first trip to the Outer Banks. We really enjoyed our six night stay there during the last week of October. Our room was perfect for us and the yummy hot breakfast every morning was amazing. We chose a historic inn rather than a hotel or airbnb because we like the more personal touch an Inn provides. Lisa, the innkeeper, was very helpful and friendly. Beth, the Manager and breakfast chef was super hospitable. With the beach just a short walk away...we...

”As an older hotel, it has a few cosmetic things but nothing major. Very quiet but also off season- great rate!! We had an issue with the blow dryer which was taken care of very quickly by maintenance. Enjoyed our stay”

It's very convenient to the Outer Banks and Alligator River NWR so it's perfect for outdoor enthusiasts, birders (like me!), and wildlife photographers. ”

”We had a nice view of the ocean, hotel has private access to beach, the staff was friendly and helpful, hotel was nice and quiet (we stayed in January), breakfast was better than most, the shower was great (water pressure and heat), kitchen was fully functional if we had wanted to make our own meals.”

”This place is a family favorite that we return to again and again no matter the season. Friendly customer service, clean, nice breakfast, lots of room and good use of space. The decor, including the cool lamps, are icing on the cake. Of course we all love the indoor pool and hot tub.”
