”This beautiful, classic hotel is right in the hear of Skagway, allowing for easy access to all of the nearby local restaurants and tourist attractions. We had a small problem with our bathroom, which the staff quickly attended to. If you want breakfast buffet (a separate expense) make sure to show up early as they pick up pretty quickly.”
”It's Alaska, so it's different. We live in Fairbanks and were meeting family that flew in from the lower 48 and were boarding a cruise. It was a turn-and-burn, one-night stay. The hotel room was super clean, bed was super comfy, the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, and the room was close (walkable) to an IGA grocery store, a liquor store, and an Alaska State museum. Totally recommend!”
”This was a pleasant surprise- front desk staff upgraded us to a suite with views of both harbor and mountains when we told them it was my partner’s birthday. All staff were incredibly friendly and kind. Bed was extremely comfortable with lots of pillows and soft sheets. Location is right in the downtown area near all restaurants, shops, and public transit yet quite quiet. Our 3 night stay was excellent! ”Glacier Bay Lodge is several miles outside of the small town of Gustavus, but the destination of choice for travelers to the area, providing an optimal staging place for trips out to the glacier. We hiked the coast on the forest trails running north and south from the lodge. Both trails are extremely well maintained and gorgeous the whole way through. The staff was more than happy to ensure we knew all of the risks in the area and allow us to borrow bear spray just in case things went sideways....
”Convenient downtown location that allows for easy access to the capitol. Wide spacious room with plenty of space to stretch out. Breakfast is not included, but there is an attached restaurant with plenty of options. Overall, a great location to stay while exploring the downtown Juneau area.”
