”Room was clean, bed comfortable, easy to find and breakfast was nice! It was fine for one night, but there was an awful smell from the shower. The drain looked clean but unfortunately we had to sleep with the bathroom door closed and windows open! We also waited 15 mins for someone to check us in. On checkout when mentioning the smell, we were told there were known issues but no apology. At £180/night it was definitely overpriced!”

”Superb stop off on way home from France. Super clean and large bedroom, very quiet but well located next to pub. Food was lovely and all the staff were beyond helpful. Will 100% stay again.”

”Lovely pub with rooms. Went for a friends birthday and had a super time. Staff were very friendly and helpful. I’m coeliac and the choice of gluten free food was very good. The fish and chips were excellent! Would highly recommend.”

”A small pub and hotel with very nice ambience and rooms. Friendly staff, nice breakfast and a cozy lounge. Single paned windows let in some road noise and chill.”

”The staff is utterly amazing! Everyone is wonderful, helpful and the food is terrific. If I ever go to England again I would stay without any reservation! American friendly despite it President!”

”The food was very good and staff great. Grace was a wonderful server. The inn is certainly olde and genuine. Not a pretend olde . Rooms are very unusual with individual names. All are separate from the pub. Obviously the pub is the main venue for the local population. The room was modest size but had two TVs. The shower floods the bathroom. Not a big deal.”

”We had a lovely one night stay here. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The room was clean, a large shower room, and a very comfortable bed. We had dinner there and the food was lovely. The breakfast was included and also good - the chef came to take our orders for cooked food, and was very accommodating.”

”Not what I expected. The room itself was nice and the environment guite cute but two major issues with the stay. 1. The room temperature must`ve been above 30 degrees (even if the temperature outside was +15). Room facing the street so opening the window felt like sleeping on the street. Not a good choice if you need to get some proper rest.”
