”Basic ok hotel. Be carefull with WiFi though. It can be free but if you are not carefull they will make you pay 13USD/day for it. The only way to avoid cost is to give your Marriot Bonvoy number at the reception. They do not even mention about the extra cost when you checkout so better check your bill carefully.”

Me and my family are from California and I choose this venue because my daughter was getting married and it was the halfway point for all events for the week. "My daughter and I went to Chicago to run the marathon. Booked The River hotel as it was one of the few hotels I could find with twin beds at a reasonable price located within walking distance to grant park. The room was compact but it was warm, clean, had a microwave oven, mini fridge and espresso machine. Location was absolutely brilliant. Magnificent mile just the other side of the river and plenty of shops, restaurants, bakeries right next to the hotel. Staff were very friendly and helpful, only really had interaction at checking. Highly recommend, I certainly would stay there next time."
