”The house had something for everyone. Our puppies enjoyed running around the property. Our kids enjoyed the large living room for their dance game and pool. We all enjoyed the corn hole game and our beautiful surroundings. Everything was clean and the beds were fairly comfortable. I was super thankful for the AC. The UP was warmer than usual for September. We have no major complaints just two suggestions. A light over the stove would be great, but certainly no deal breaker. And the coffee maker...

”We were actually bumped up to the Trail House, a welcome surprise as I’d just had a procedure the day before and was having some pain and mobility issues. Was provided with check-in details days before arrival. The cottage was gorgeous, spotless, beds and furniture were comfortable. Dependable WI-FI. Centrally located on the peninsula. Brochures were provided and were helpful in planning for food and gas and some attractions we wanted to see this time. We would rent this again and again! ”

”The property needs some "Finishing touches" to be an excellent one. A headboard on the master bed, adult size life preservers if you are going to have kayaks and paddle boards for use on Lake Superior, a kitchen faucet that doesn't leak all over the countertop and a water filtration system that can remove tannins. ”We both were frazzled from life and after a 14 hour trip to Eagle River, it was pure heaven! The house was immaculate. ”This property was ideal to accommodate our large group of friends and children for a reunion of MTU classmates. The house is HUGE so no one felt crowed. The basement had lots of fun games to keep our teenage children occupied. Some of the furniture has definitely seen better days, but everything was very clean. It was easy walking distance to both downtown Hancock and Houghton. I would definitely request to stay again if staying in the area with a large group.”

”Not easy to contact owner, or any person if we had questions.property was fine except inside stairs. Absolutely filthy..really no need to remove shoes. In fact one would not want to..stairs way too dirty..we originally were to be 6 but ended up as 2 so other than one bedroom none of the others were touched . During the first night on weekend this place was rather full or snowmobilist and none of them used a mask in general space (like in breakfast lounge .. even if not eating).
