”While Karao Hotel may offer budget nightly stays, it offers amazingly large rooms, close vicinity to the Liberia airport, public bus directory in front of Karao, and extraordinary professionally brewed coffee shop and breakfast meals. The (made on premises) breakfast items are inexpensive and high quality. Hope you will enjoy my recent photos of these delights, my companion and I stayed twice in December 2025. Perfect in every way.”

”Absolutely amazing place to stay. Kevin was so good. He definitely went the extra mile for us. It was on the other side of the river so it made it secluded and away from the people in the city. Great place to stay would definitely stay there again.”

”We had the best time here. The hosts, Shanna and Kenny were great, super responsive and very helpful with planning things to do. Ernesto, one of the drivers was also fantastic and super helpful. The locals and neighbors around the house were very friendly. A grocery store was located near by and we were able to get most of what we needed to make our meals. ”I truly enjoyed my stay. The room was spaceous and bed very comfy. There is free tea and popcorn and the terrace is a nice bonus. Breakfast was also good. Staff is very friendly and eager to help the guests. The B&B is about 5 min walk away from shops and restaurants. Altough it's Down/uphill. There is a corner shop and a soda few steps away, but I didn't try them. 4 star hotel for me. ”

”We had a warm welcome from the moment we arrived , with clear instructions prior to arrival as well. The breakfast as mentioned in previous reviews was the best that we have had in Costa Rica and likewise we were treated to a wonderful home cooked three course meal at a very reasonable price. We loved the peaceful surroundings with nature on the doorstep including trails into the forest. We loved our stay and just wish we had planned to stay longer.”

”Yuri was very welcoming, the room was clean and the pool area was very relaxing. We stayed one night, were very tired and really enjoyed listening to the birds and the quiet atmosphere.”

”Beautiful property, all rooms have amazing lake views. The people are so genuinely friendly and the service is excellent. The only thing is that next time I'll make sure I don't book Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, as options are limited in the area. I'll visit Jenna's Bed and Breakfast before or after. So grateful to the staff for all their help. My mother was looking for a medicinal plant and they helped her find it. Definitely a must stay @”
