”Sir Angel’s Guesthouse started as a longtime Belizean family home, and it is even named after the patriarch, Angel. Communication while booking was timely and accurate. Upon arrival, my booked ride from the airport was prompt, and the driver gave me a local tour en route to the Guesthouse! I was warmly greeted at the guesthouse by the owner, and even introduced to a family member! At the Guesthouse, I enjoyed being “in Belize”—- I was at a small, family-owned lodging for my first two days...

”Our stay here was phenomenal! Check-in was quick and easy, and our room was spotless with great AC, hot water, a TV for Netflix/YouTube, and a beautiful balcony overlooking the town. The location is perfect, just a 5-minute walk to Parque Central, restaurants, cafés, and shops. Copán Ruins and Macaw Mountain are about a 20–25 minute walk or a US$2 tuk-tuk ride away. The owner was incredibly kind and always available. After our visit to Luna Jaguar Hot Springs, she even brought us extra towels...

”Very pleasant stay, everything works well. Jorge is very helpful and able to arrange even with trips. He provides informations about the area, Alajuela, history and recommendations. Nicely organized place, all rooms are on ground floor, very safe and secured. It is very walkable and you can observe the nice and charming downtown of Alajuela. Close to the airport, since Juan Santamaría airport is located in Alajuela. Definitely stay here next time.”

”Es un lugar tranquilo, la atención del personal del hotel es excelente en todo momento que lo necesites te apoyan, queríamos una pizza pero no había repartidor y ellos fueron por ella. El desayuno es delicioso y buena proporción a comparación del que ofrecen en los restaurantes del centro de Cuetzalan. Las camas cómodas y el juego de colchas limpio, así como las toallas, el jabón de mandarina huele delicioso y el shampo deja bonito el cabello. Nos hospedamos en el área de mascotas y un jardín...

”Great deal for the money. Very nice feel to the room and the common space. Very quiet. The big negative - when we got there, no one was there. When we called no one answered. It's Guatemala. so we went for a coffee. When we finally got an answer, the guy was wonderful, friendly, and explained he'd been somewhere else. And once we got inside it was much better than i expected for the price. Will stay every time i go to Xela.”
