”Loved the atmosphere”

”Like going back in time”

”Beautiful property, great staff, Bathrooms are dated but enjoyed the stay.”

”The Old Clarke Inn is in a fine location for motorcycle riding. There is covered parking for motorcycles and other bike friendly amenities. Within walking distance of food.”

”This is a beautiful property. I stayed in the lodge and it was quiet and comfortable. It had a main kitchen where you were set up with a coffee pot, filters and coffee, a keurig (bring your own cups) and basically a full kitchen with all appliances available to cook a meal and a table to eat at and read the paper. . The entrance lobby is a big beautiful room and a back porch. The restaurant is good and the staff warm and friendly The fly shop is where you check in and they couldn’t be more...

”Beautiful place with friendly staff.”

”I thought the breakfast area was a little tight with as many guests that were trying to get their breakfast. Alcove didn't flow well”

”It absolutely pains me to leave a negative review, but I hope this helps other travelers. We chose this hotel because we needed a place to stay while we were doing an overnight ghost hunt at the asylum. We got in late on Friday night and our plan was to sleep in on Saturday so we would be ready for Saturday night. Sleeping in wasn’t happening here. At 8 am, staff were loudly cleaning in the hallways. I did poke my head out and ask that they be a little quieter and explained that we had a late...

”The room and the view were breathtaking. Very disappointed that all of the restaurants were closed for the season and nobody let us know ahead of time.”

”When we checked in were informed that we received a “highly discounted rate” for our room, which was never shown on Expedia. That explanation was given to us because the room we stayed in was detached from the main property, and it sat in a lot facing an auto body shop. There was no deadbolt/additional locking system on the door, which faced a commercial lot. The comforter had a large white stain on the top cover, which looked encrusted onto the top side. The ceiling light fixture was hanging...

”Love it here! Nice friendly staff and clean rooms. Great breakfast every morning.”

”The room smelled like mold. We got in late so we didn't have the time to look for another hotel around the area. Also, it's not as close to the New River Gorge as advertised.”

”Had to park quite a distance from the hotel parking is very limited”

”Tv was lacking options for the Thursday night access for the NFL! Pool was warm and relaxing for a swim! Breakfast was good! Staff very friendly and helpful”

”The property was clean. The bed was very comfortable. The food at the restaurant was really good. Loved the vibe there!”

”Maintenance is lacking on the entire property. The bathroom mirror had a nice saying (not family friendly) on it that showed up vividly when steamed over which happened easily since the fan was useless. ”
