”Had a fantastic weekend here. We love Oscoda and this is a beautiful spot right on Lake Huron. The manager Chad was very helpful and a super nice guy. Keep in mind before booking this place doesn’t have certain amenities like towels, soap or shampoo and garbage bags. It does have appliances, silverware, dishware, and an outdoor grill. They’re in the process of updating it so right now so many things are pretty rough around the edges, especially the interior of the cabins. We wouldn’t hesitate to...

”This was perfect! It was cute and clean. Had a small kitchenette and wonderFUL bathroom with amazing tub. We literally wanted to stay another night just for the tub. Easy check-in and check out. Close to “Snug Harbor” restaurant and that was yummy and reasonably priced! Beautiful views! I can’t say enough good things. This is certainly a hidden gem and worth it. ❤️”

”My 18 year old daughter suddenly became available for a last minute family trip so I scrambled to find someplace that would accommodate myself, 13-year old son, my daughter and her boyfriend as well. I was lucky enough to find Harper’s Hangout! It was only 2-1/2 hour drive for us, offered enough privacy for everyone, AND we could bring our dog!When we arrived, it was super clean, the A/C was at a perfect temp, and it was as welcoming as can be! ”We had a pleasant experience. The only problem was when we moved a fire pit closer to our cabin because the are was vacant (5 fire pits only 8 cabins, which needs to be addressed). The man who checks on the property came over and stated he drove by to talk to us earlier, but we were not at the cabin, which (a) seems like stalking and (b) his tone and the way he was leering at my daughter in law were not appreciated. If we stay next year my son and I may just kick his ass....we were tempted to...

”We liked that it was practical and felt like a home away from home. Some cabins feel like they’re trying to be hotels and that’s fine, but this felt more like a quiet, simplified home. The layout was practical and there were places to hang towels. It made good use of the available space. It’s located away from the busy street and between Tawas and Oscoda, making for a shorter drive to both places. Our only downside was the beds were small (they are listed as double — so I just thought in my head...

”Great stay for our family of 4. Had everything we needed for the weekend. Also met some wonderful people staying in another cottage around the shared campfire. ”

”We gad a fantastic week out here. This home is central to everything silver lake. Its located in a nice quiet community & has access to a pool & playground. Home was very clean. We had a fantastic time. We would rent this property again. This home would also be a great option for two families to stay as the basement has two bunk beds perfect for putting all the kids downstairs & then there are 3 bedrooms. ”

”The cottage is absolutely adorable! We enjoyed a weekend there for Tip Up Town and even though it was freezing, it was an easy walk on the lake to the beer tent and a short walk on the road to the Limberlost. The host was communicative. It was a great stay! ”

The chairs and bench provided a great place to sit and watch the lake. The shower was hot and had great water pressure. The beds were cozy. We had lots of space to store our luggage. The host even left us a lovely little note and offering for our Anniversary as I had mentioned that being the purpose for our trip.
