1. Sturdy's Castle Country Inn

Kidlington

”Have just spent a wonderful two nights at Sturdy Castle. Perfect location to explore the stunningly beautiful Cotswolds. On arrival we were pleasantly surprised at how nice the reception and restaurant area was and how lovely the staff were. Offered option of breakfast and evening meal which we booked. The rooms were located at the back of the hotel ,so nice and quiet and spotlessly clean with everything that we needed. Dinner was lovely with friendly staff happy to talk through both the pub...

”Extremely disappointing stay and nowhere near the standard expected for a superior room. We had booked a twin room but were initially given a double. When we were eventually moved to the twin room we had actually booked, the condition of it was unacceptable. There was hair across the bathroom, stained bedding, significant dust throughout the room and heavy dirt and buildup around the extractor fan and light fittings. The coffee machine still contained water and used pods from the previous...

”Good for a short stay, very basic pub accomodation. Located practically in the middle of nowhere and there's no possibility to go for a walk or a run in the evening. The pub downstairs is good, with reasonably priced food and drinks. Friendly staff. Stayed at the room 12 which at the time of my stay didnd't have any shower! This is unacceptable even temporarily, such room should not be offered at all.”

”Really helpful staff, and room had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. After breakfast we were offered the bill when we explained our reservation included breakfast. It would seem this is an ongoing issue as staff explained they don’t include it but are struggling with Expedia to remove. The owner though didn’t charge us, and although a little awkward to have had the conversation both staff and owner were very lovely in getting it resolved. I would return, but the position on the...

”The Railway Inn is a small hotel, over a pub that closes reasonably early and literally next to the train lines. The barkeep is also the hotel staff and the breakfast cook. She is terrific and lively. My room was on the second floor - spacious with two excellent twin beds, comfortable bedding and kettle, cookies, etc. They would like entry by 22.00 which I did not see in the ad, so I arrived later and she directed me to reach my room, which she had left open. The breakfast is cooked to order...

Malmaison Oxford

10/10 Loistava

"Keskeinen sijainti ja mukava henkilökunta. Plussaa hyvästä aamupalasta. Huoneessa ei ollut ilmastointia, mutta lämpötila oli siitä huolimatta ihan siedettävä. Tarvittaessa olisi voinut käyttää huoneeseen tuotua tuuletinta."

Courtyard by Marriott Oxford City Centre

8/10 Hyvä

"Siisti ja hyvä huone, hotelli on kävelyetäisyydellä ostosmahdollisuuksista ja yliopistoalueesta."
