The unit was very clean upon arrival and was made available about an hour earlier than the listed check in time. This was our second time staying in Grand Champions, but first time in this unit. We love GC for its aesthetic value and location.
The one hiccup...my wife decided to wash a couple of items after our first night in the unit and discovered that the dryer was not working properly. The property management company called that morning for their standard check-in process. I informed that the dryer was not working and they said they will have a service person over that day. This was all great... We arrived back at the unit later that day and the service person left a note stating that he noticed the dryer door had issues, but was able to get the dryer to tumble after closing the door hard. He said he was going to send another service person right away. Well...he actually broke the door more and we never saw another service person during our stay. My wife attempted to wash 4 shirts as a trial run after the initial service person visit. It took well over 3 hrs to dry them. One of the biggest benefits of a condo unit over a resort, when vacation by an ocean, is in-unit washer and dryer access. We packed expecting this benefit.
Hopefully, the property management is able to repair/replace the washer/dryer unit for future guest. While the issue was an inconvenience, we will still consider returning to this unit for future Maui visits.
