Ylellinen talo n. 750m Killarney Town Center

Ero 'talo' ja 'koti' välillä on irlantilainen, eikä irlantilaisen ihmisen sydämessä ole yhtä lailla kuin se. Vieraidemme vastaanottaminen ja heidän tunteminen ”kotona” on tärkein osa pyrkimyksiämme tehdä täällä Killarney Manor House (muodollisesti Valentine House), koska päätimme tarjota ”kotimme” vierastalo- tai loma-asunnolle. Casey-perheen omistama ja hallinnoima Killarney-kartano sijaitsee kätevästi vain 5-10 minuutin kävelymatkan päässä Killarney-kaupungin keskustasta. Killarney Manor House on vain lyhyen kävelymatkan päässä Killarneyn maailmankuulusta kansallispuistosta, joka on majesteettisen McGillycuddy Reeksin, Irlannin korkeimman vuoriston ja henkeäsalpaavien Killarney-järvien koti. The house was well maintained and stocked with essentials; coffee, milk, bread etc. rooms were clean and host was available via text or phone. It suited our family needs. We had 8 adults and 8 children ages 7-16. The yard in front was a great energy release for the kids. It was close to the city and we were able to get taxis when necessary. But we walked a lot. The kitchen and dining spaces were large and accommodating for our big crowd.

The house was absolutely perfect for our group of eight golfers for five nights as all the courses were nearby. Plenty of space as everyone had their own bedroom and bathroom. We had two nights catered for dinner which was very convenient and perfectly executed. I would highly recommend this manor house to any large group exploring the area.

This is a great house in a great location. Very quiet but so close to restaurants, and the center of the city. Within walking distance of the national park. The house was stocked with so many amenities. Plenty of room for a crowd. The washer and dryer were great. The fridge was stocked and lots of snacks left for us. Highly recommend this house.

Perfect location. Accommodations for our extended family were great. Bedrooms were very clean with a bathroom in most rooms. Listing stated King beds but they are queen size. Storage for clothing was lacking but plenty of room to stack clothes in open closets. Great Kitchen and living area. Outdoor living space was great for a large group. The only recommendation I have is to have an instruction manual for the house for checking in, checking out , trash days etc. other thank that I highly recommend The Marion House for a large group. Looking forward to another visit.

need guest info book

overall the stay was good...beds and laundry were good.....many short comings on the various kitchen and laundry devices. when i called for help, i was told to find the manufacturers pamphlet and figure it out...Cortina was no help at all....she was not there for more than half the visit.the property lacked a welcome guest book that gave simple instructions on the operation of all the appliances. as well as an overview of exactly where we were and what services were nearby, like the grocery storeconstruction next door 10 hours a day, 14 straight days...very noisey

This home was perfect! Just the right size for our large family, well stocked with supplies, treats, and toys for the kids. The main floor was welcoming with many welcoming gathering spaces in the kitchen, dining room and living room. The home was immaculate. Christmas in Killarney

We at this lovely home for one week…all 16 of us! The home was perfect for us…enough room for time together and time alone. The location was great! With five young teens they enjoyed the opportunity to walk into Killarney on their own! And one day all of us walked to the National Park and spent most of the day. It was close enough to both the bus station and the train station for groups to take short jaunts. There were several restaurants available within walking distance. We would highly recommend this house for any family and or group vacation!

Perfect location close to town and walking trails at Killarney House. Appreciated our large gift basket of goodies! The house was very roomy and loved all the bedrooms and bathrooms. Every night we enjoyed sitting outside with the fire pit!

Family Vacation with grandchildren

Great property and location. Most bedrooms and baths are small, but who on vacation spends time in them. Very close to town, great patio and grill. They don't provide adaptors for electricity and it was hard to find them in town, bring your own.

Incredible, spacious, modern

I wonderful stay for a large group of golfers in a spacious home with all the amenities. Comfortable beds and mini en suites. We walked to and from Killarney city center and had a wonderful time finishing the evening on the outside patio.

3 Generations family vacation

Marion House is a perfect location - short walk to city center. Nearby convenience stores. Centra has an excellent full Irish breakfast. Golf and fun and fascinating day trips are easily accessible. Kitchen is well-stocked. Everything is brand new. Kevin and Gaby are responsive and accommodating hosts. I made a few suggestions re: adding shelves for convenience that they will probably incorporate quickly. I believe that all 13 of us would rate this a “trIp of a lifetime” experience.

24 family members living out of a suitcase

If I could give this booking a zero I would. Apparently this property was sold to Randle Hotel in Killarney and they promptly turned it into a bed and breakfast as an extension of their hotel. The manager of our booking told us after we arrived, nonetheless, in Killarney from the United States, that the original owners had sold the hotel the month before, and the new owners promised to honor the summer bookings after they bought it. But they reneged and decided to use it as overflow for their hotel. So we show up and we are supposed to be delighted with the house next door, with absolutely none of the old world charm of our original booking, Smaller house, very small bedrooms, painted muddy brown with not one picture on any of the walls. No furniture except the bed, 2 very small tin side tables on either side of the bed. There were built on wardrobes with no doors or drawers. The construction workers were just cleaning up the last of their construction waste. The downstairs wasn’t bad, but it didn’t have the space we originally paid for. The outside space was very nice, and fortunately the weather was good, otherwise this stay would not have been very enjoyable. Some family members complained that they did not have soap or toilet brush in the bathrooms. Others complained that they didn’t have any storage for clothes or much for toiletries. Some bedrooms didn’t have a mirror. We booked last year. This is unacceptable for VRBO. We should get a partial refund.

Wonderful family vacation in Killarney

This house was amazing for our 11 member family vacation in Killarney! Catriona was a wonderful host and the check in process was very easy. The bedrooms were lovely and all en suite, which was excellent! The huge kitchen and dining rooms were awesome to grab a seat, catch up and discuss our day. The location of the house is ideal, an easy walk to town, with a local convenience store and bike rental shop just down the street. We look forward to staying at Killarney Manor House again in the future!

Super spectacular experience

We just finished a trip of a lifetime at Killarney Manor House. Five siblings in our 50s with spouses and kids ranging in age from 7-24 yrs - 20 people total. We lucked out with a rare treat of blue skies and weather in 70s and 80s so the sightseeing was spectacular. The house is perfect for a large multi-family group! Everyone was comfortable and we had plenty of space. The kitchen is spacious and the large table in dining room was wonderful. The game room was lovely and so was the spacious and comfortable TV room. The location can’t be beat! Walkable to downtown Killarney and Killarney National Park! Catriona is a wonderful host/owner who is very responsive and helpful and answered all our questions and also gave us recommendations for caterers. We had 3 meals catered and it was the best decision we ever made! However, there are plenty of options with Killarney minutes away. Unfortunately the weather was hot which is unusual for Ireland so the house does not have A/C and we were quite hot at night, but I understand A/C is uncommon and often not needed. If global warming continues to raise the temps, fans in the rooms will be a must as fans would have been helpful. We sat outside and had wine and cheese on the stone tables out front every evening which was lovely! We appreciated the ample sleeping spaces, the laundry facilities, and the fact that everyone had their own bathroom! Killarney was the perfect central location with so much to do locally and it was a great gateway to tour the Ring of Kerry, the Ring of Beara, Cork and the Blarney Castle and Gardens. Do not hesitate to book this wonderful spot —-perfect for family reunions.

Great house and location

This is the perfect house for our family. The town centre is a short walk away. There’s so much to do in Killarney and the surrounding areas. This was our second stay at Killarney Manor House and already planning another trip in two years.

Great Experience

Great house, great location, property has everything you would need to cater for a large group. Bedrooms were spotless and all en-suite which was a real bonus. Lots of space for the younger family members in the house. Great location within short walk/cycle of the national park and the town centre. Would highly recommend.

the home was very nice. Everyone in our party - 12 of us - had their own room, bathroom. It was very convenient to all the sights around Killarney. close to the shops - a little bit of a walk but there is cab service which is reasonable if not able to make the walk, if older person. There is a grocery store very close that is walkable, as well. Owner, was very nice and very helpful. The entire process was very easy. I would definitely recommend to others and would be more than happy to rent again for a big group. My 88 yr old mother really enjoyed herself with all of her kids. thank you. Carol

Cousins Ireland vacation.

What a fantastic home for visiting the southwest of Ireland. We were a group of 16 cousins from Boston travelling together and visiting family in the area. The layout and location of this house is fantastic. Even though there were 16 of us we never felt crowded as there is quite a bit of common areas for people to relax in. It is a short walk in to the town center of Killarney for dinner, shopping, etc. Our hostess, Catriona was awesome as she met us on our first day for check in and explained everything to us that we needed to know. There was no reason to contact her once we had settled in but she let us know that she was available if needed. Prior to our arrival, during the months leading up to our arrival, the communication that Catriona provided was top notch. I had asked Catriona ahead of time if she could recommend a catering company to prepare and serve our meal on our last night of vacation as we would all be winding down and preparing for our flight home the next day. She had recommended Kilcummin Gourmet Kitchen and contacted them for me and they responded to me providing menus to select from ahead of time. The meal and the hospitality shown by KGK was phenomenal. We were so glad we did this as it was a great way to end our vacation. Overall, it is no surprise that this property consistently receives 5 star reviews. I hope to stay here again some day. Thanks for everything Catriona!!
