Matkat – La Sabatina

I don’t know where to begin! This property is amazing for many reasons. Location, hospitality and food. This hotel feels like it in the middle of everywhere you would need to walk to. There’s about 15 restaurants in less than 300 yards. The hospitality has to be one of the best I have ever experienced. Lastly, the food. This location does something completely different from the rest. Their food is like a fusion of some sort, it’s plated as if you were at the 4 Seasons (Dinner). This will be the only place I will stay at when- ever I decide to visit again.

Rosabianca is truly an amazing place. The staff is outstanding, and the way they treated us was incredible, paying attention to every detail during both check-in and check-out. The team is professional, well-educated, and genuinely kind. The views are beautiful, and the food is excellent. I will definitely visit Rosabianca many more times.

I don't believe this hotel truly meets 5-star standards. The staff are friendly, but the overall experience falls short in some basic areas. We had a 7 a.m. checkout, and breakfast doesn't start until 8 a.m. — meaning we couldn't have breakfast at the hotel. We asked for a to-go option, which was not available. This is something every other 5-star property I've stayed at handles as a matter of course. Additionally, no complimentary water was offered in the room — or if it was, no one mentioned it. Again, this is standard at any hotel in this category. Breakfast itself was decent, nothing remarkable. I understand Portofino is an expensive destination, but the experience here didn't match the 5-star label.
