”We arrived around midnight and the staff was ready and helpful in getting us to our room. The hotel is older, boutique style, but very beautiful and the room was enormous. There was the usual toiletries and coffee provided. They have several lots for free parking. The only (very minor) issues I had were the beds were quite hard and the sheets were very stiff and scratchy... as if they had been starched. ”The Property was beautiful! When we walked in, the first utterance out of our mouths was "Wow!" Street parking was easy. The room "The Chalet" that we stayed in was spacious with many amenities and was spotless. The bed was very comfortable as well! And being on the third story, we got our stair steps in for our trip! Haha.”

”Booked a “non smoking” room. When we entered the room we were hit with a very thick and strong smell of cigarette smoke. They refused to give us a refund. We ended up having to go somewhere else because of how bad the smell was. Will not book here again. Do not recommend.”

”There are only two reasons to choose this hotel: its low price and its location—a 10-minute walk to the city train. Other than that, it falls short in many areas: poor management, understaffing (one person seems to handle everything), lack of attention to refilling breakfast items, weak wifi, and non-standard blankets and pillows, to name a few.”

”VILE AND DISGUSTING!!!! genuinely the nastiest sess pool of an accommodation you could imagine. There were piss handprints on the walls, as well as dead roach smeared on wall. Doors did not lock well and room had mold on lampshades which is a health hazard. Immediately regretted booking upon seeing it and had to find another hotel. Unsafe area also. ”

”I just needed a room for the night to be closer to an event that I was attending at Loyola. For that, the room was perfect. I would also like to shout out to the help I received from the woman that worked earlier on Tuesday and Michael, the night manager. Both were extremely helpful and kind. A couple notes to management on Room 7: the table is about to collapse. If I wasn't so tired, I would have pulled out a toolset and tighten up the bolts. One leg looks to be damaged and may not be...

”It was very nice and well maintained, room was super hot without window open but that’s not a big deal, definitely need to me more open about the fact that’s it’s a shared space kind of hostel thing cuz I was unaware till arrival and I’ve seen many others also not get enough warning other then “shared fridge and microwave” on the page but overall good for price ”

”Not clean - no hot water - broken ice machine - phone not working so couldn’t call the front - never a clerk at counter to even ask for help with all the issues and the breakfest was very lack luster - they didn’t clean room for next night even with us requesting it - I always stay at holiday expresses because they had always been so nice this one in hillside Il was down right terrible! ”
