”This was a really nice unit. Not on the water, but within a few minutes drive time to Houghton Lake, and 20 minutes to Higgins Lake. Lots of beautiful trails, boat launches, and public parks. Located on a quiet street, close to stores and restaurants. Would stay here again. The host was more than accommodating, and made sure every need was met. The house is well equipped, even down to a crate for your dog. The washing machine and dryer were an added bonus!”

”Loved that the lake was only a few steps out our door and the lake was perfect for swimming. Also the hot tub which was shared was never overcrowded. Would definitely recommend to others as a nice place to stay. There was plenty of room in the cabin for myself, my 9 year old daughter and her two 16 year old girlfriends. ”

”Great location on beautiful Higgins Lake”

”Thank you for opening up your cottage for our 10 day stay! It was more than we expected! The owners thought of everything... we were able to cook a few nights on the grill and the location was close to the lakes, but far enough for quiet "in the woods" nights! Super clean and the welcome basket was very thoughtful! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend for couples or families! A besutiful property! Thanks again for your hospitality! ”

”Updated cottage with all the essentials! I appreciated having a small front and backyard with grass for the dog. Unfortunately the lake access nearby doesn’t allow dogs, so we had to go elsewhere. No AC was a bit difficult as we were there in hot weather. Neighborhood was quiet and relaxing. ”

”A perfect spot for a getaway! Property is exactly as pictured. Clean, comfortable and centrally located if you want to venture out to Traverse City, Bellaire or Charlevoix. Or just relax by the water and enjoy the birds and the hum of an occasional pontoon tooling by. We loved our week there and would highly recommend and will look to make a return visit! ”

”We were happy with the rental. Very clean and everything we needed. Our grandsons enjoyed the game room.Only suggestion i would make is a few more towels and rolls of toilet paper for the guests”

”Everything was outstanding ., amenities were great and boat dock was a definite plus.”

”Our host Margaret was awesome, showed up to greet us upon check in. The cottage had plenty of room for sleeping, several spaces outdoors to enjoy. The lake is beautiful, sandy & clean. We loved listening to the loons. We tubed, waterskied, surfed & fished. We also went to a few restaurants by boat that we were able to have dinner & watch the sunset. Would definitely recommend & will be back again!!!”

”The house was great, perfect for adults plus kids. We appreciated the little touches, like lots of games for the kids, a sandy beach area, and water toys. The owner was super easy to communicate with, and a small issue with the hot tub was taken care of right away.Lake City itself doesn't have a lot to offer except for the ice cream shop. And the part of the lake the house is on is very shallow and full of weeds. But the house itself was great.”

”Beautiful place! Super accommodating. Very clean. Definitely recommend! Lake was right out our patio. Bald eagle flew right over us and was on the lake. Property manager was wonderful to work with. Family friendly!! ”
