”Me and my partner stayed at the Mermaid in over the May Bank holiday. We stayed in room 19, which was a great size and clean. Staff were really friendly and breakfast was very tasty. Would definitely recommend this hotel when staying in Rye.”

”Ideal position for staying in Rye short walk to the town centre. The hotel was but a bit dated on a couple of ares but over we were happy and would recommend it to friends.”

”We had room 17- a review of this room last September was awful. If accurate it has now been improved as it was comfortable and we had no issues with it. All staff were very good - friendly and efficient.Breakfast was excellent. Ample parking at front of property . Grassy area at back alongside the river with sitting area was very nice. Position of hotel is great with a short walk straight into Rye which is a lovely town with many places to eat - lovely old pubs and interesting buildings. Lamb...

”Very helpful and friendly staff, it was a heatwave and unfortunately the fan we were given could not cut the heat which led to a restless night with the sun streaming in from 5:30. Breakfast was tasty but limited due to staff and delivery issues but the staff that were available were going out of their way to keep issues to a minimum.”

”I was disappointed with this stay. For the amount of money it cost, the caravan was not clean, was overcrowded and needs a lot of smarting up. You had to pay extra to have bedding which I think is unreasonable, particularly how much it cost per night anyway. Communication with the host was fine but not great. Unfortunately I won’t be recommending or returning to this property. ”
