Hirsilinna on aiemmin erittäin arvostettu bed and breakfast, joka on nyt saatavana kotiin vuokrattavaksi. Hirsilinna on rakennettu perheen omaisuudesta korjattujen tukkien avulla. Se on lämmin ja kutsuva paratiisi perheellesi ja ystävillesi. Sen eklektinen muotoilu, upeat näkymät vesille useimmista huoneista ja sijainti rannalla tekevät siitä ihanteellisen kotipesän lomallesi. Nauti hiekkarannasta, jossa on leveä hiekkaranta, pienet (lasten) kajakit melontaan, lautta uimiseen ja mailia harvaan asuttua rantaa. Jos ajoituksenne on hyvä, voit jopa katsella valaita, jotka pintaavat lahdessa aivan kannen vieressä. Keittiö on uusittu hiljattain, ruostumattomalla laitteella, graniittitasolla ja 180 asteen vedenäköalalla. Olohuoneessa oleva suuri takka tarjoaa mukavan ja viihtyisän perääntymisen. Miles kävelyreittejä kulkee metsän läpi tien toisella puolella. Meillä on liitteenä oleva miehitetty huoneisto, joten vaaditaan hiljaista aikaa klo 22.00 jälkeen. Viehättävä Langleyn kylä on puolentoista mailin päässä - viiden minuutin ajomatkan tai kävelymatkan päässä rannalta - kauppoja, gallerioita, ravintoloita ja paljon muuta. Hirsilinnan yksi kohokohta on se, että keittiö ja kaksi makuuhuonetta sijaitsevat kumpikin kahdeksanpuoleisessa tornissa - yritä olla kiistelemättä siitä, kuka saa ylimmän tornihuoneen ilmiömäisillä näkymillä. Kalastus ja uinti (varsinkin kun vuorovesi on tullut aurinkoisen hiekkatangon yli) - luo upeita perheen muistoja.

Keittiö on täysin varustettu ruokia 14 hengelle. Ruokapöytä - loistava keskustelupala, joka on tehty 1920-luvulla korjatun tukin pohjaosaan - mahtuu kahdeksan mukavasti ja kymmenen, jos olette hyviä ystäviä.

Wifi ja kaapeli toimitetaan; matkapuhelimen vastaanotto on riittävä, mutta ei ihanteellinen kaikilla talon alueilla.

Our stay at the Log Palace was fabulous! It was our second time staying there yet there were new details noticed in the incredible architecture. The host is super friendly and answered questions about how her father was able to build this building almost single handedly.

This trip was everything we never knew we needed. Lea and Dennis were amazing and their home is absolutely incredible. Lea was so kind and so helpful. I cannot wait to return. The house itself is cozy and gorgeous. There is something cool around every turn. The view is absolutely breathtaking. This house is healing. I would 1000x recommend staying here.

We loved our time at the Log Castle. It was such a unique place, and the views!! We used the kayaks, and the kids loved playing on the beach with the sand toys. The kitchen is very well stocked for preparing meals. The hosts were great, and communications and instructions were prompt and clear. We only stayed 2 nights, and we can’t wait to return for a longer stay!

Oceanfront Delight

This log castle does not disappoint! All bedrooms have a bathroom which is great. Beds are comfy. View is stunning and household amenities are plentiful. Owners are always accessible. Highly recommend this stay!

Incredible water views!

We absolutely loved our stay at the Log Castle! The layout was perfect for our two families. Every room had their own bathroom plus 1 extra! The kids were begging us to steal the tower bedrooms for themselves. They loved ringing the bell. 4 days later we were still discovering unique details about the house. The kitchen was well stocked. We loved exploring the beach and looking for seals. We loved being so close to Langley so we could explore town (eat at The Bravern!), visit the Langley Whale Center, hike the saratoga woods and find waterman rock, explore Double Bluff Beach, and so many more things!

Fantastic as always

Perfect for Nature

We had an excellent stay for the Langley Murder Mystery weekend. The house is exactly as depicted! It's super funky and one of a kind. Lea is a fantastic host, even going out of her way to notify us of an otter playing on the dock in case we missed it. Speaking of nature, you can't do better. We saw a whale, a huge troop of seals right outside the house, otters, eagles and herons. If you're looking for a family-centric getaway and want views, and nature, this is an excellent spot. Keep in mind, this is a tough spot for folks with mobility issues - lots of stairs and steep slopes. Beyond that, the house is clean, well-stocked and situated close enough to Langley to take advantage of town. We all agreed, we'd visit again.

Amazing Cabin Experience

We spent a cool winter weekend on Whidbey Island and couldn't have picked a better place to relax and enjoy the cabin, views, and sealife that the Log Castle has to offer. The entire family loved exploring all the unique aspects of the cabin and property, discovering a number of very unique aspects of a hand built family cabin. Best family summer house ever!

The Log Castle is a special place. It was easily large enough and for 11 family members, 2-74 years of age. The home is uniquely beautiful, an art piece in itself, but comfortable at the same time. The kitchen is fully equipped, along with plenty of bedding. There was much to do at the cabin, swimming, hiking, beach walking, kayaking, and more. The town of Langley is very cute with lots of restaurants. There is much to explore on the Island. Our highlight was watching a bald eagle that showed up on the beach each morning and watching the seals, especially when they came up on the raft.

Such a magical place

We spent time at the log castle with family from out of state and it did not disappoint. I thought it had to be too good to be true that someone could have this many 5 star reviews, but once you meet Lea, you see why. She is sharing a magical piece of her family’s history and we were in awe by the beauty of it all. We loved the eclectic nature of the home and kayaking with the seals was incredible. The home feels like it’s a world away, but you’re really close to restaurants and grocery store if needed! We will cherish our memories at the log castle forever. Thank you!

Best VRBO stay I've ever had

We loved everything about our stay at the Log Castle: the communication with the owners, being greeted at the house when we arrived, the location, the house itself, everything. We went with a group of 4 adults and 5 kids (ages 7-9) and everyone loved it. We saw a grey whale swim past the house one evening and loved the noisy 15+ harbor seals on the nearby dock. The kitchen and bathrooms had everything we could ask for. I'm already discussing another trip back here with my parents and sister's famly, since I know they'll love it too. Thank you so much for letting us staying at your magical abode.

Fantastic destination

You will never see a more original log house in your life. Worth staying here just for the house itself! The fact that it's right on the water with an incredible view is almost just a bonus! Fully equipped huge kitchen. Three super comfortable adult bedrooms with bathrooms and a great bunk room if you have kids. All the rooms have the most incredible views. Comfortable dining set up for a large group. We were there in winter weather which was fun but I can see how it would be a fantastic summer destination as well. Everything was absolutely perfect with our stay. The hosts met us when we checked in which was very handy. They had messaged us about opening the front door. When I saw the email I thought , good grief, I think I know how to open a front door but it was actually a good thing they met us there. There are many unique and interesting aspects to this wonderful home and opening the front door is one of them. Go figure! Would happily stay there again.

Log Castle

Our family had a wonderful stay at the Log Castle. It was great for the kids to play and for the adults to relax. Lea was a warm host and even made us pies from the berries we collected from her berry plants.

Just what we needed

Our family came together at the Log Castle to heal from the unexpected loss of our son and to celebrate his life. Lea provided an easel to hold a large tribute board we brought that was dedicated to him. The setting was perfect - serene and peaceful. There was something for everyone to do - walks along the beach (we walked to Langley), the kids took the kayaks out, we walked the forest trails across the highway and we enjoyed the gorgeous views from the deck and inside the house. The kitchen was well-equipped and there was plenty of counter space. There were extra tables and chairs to set up for a larger group. We were all impressed by the craftsmanship of this home done by Lea's dad. Our daughter-in-law said this was her favorite place that we had ever chosen for a family get together. We hope we get the opportunity to stay at the Log Castle again.
