”Host was extremely responsive before, during and after the stay. Facilities were very clean and basic. It met our needs, which was a place to sleep. Location was excellent (4 miles to downtown Elkins). Fridge and microwave were nice amenities. Free coffee and tea were appreciated. The rocking chairs outside on the screen porch were nice for morning coffee as well as the terrace overlooking the river. It was quiet and peaceful. No barking dogs or children running around.”

Great Wi-Fi service in room. Close to Elkins but far enough away to be in the country. For those that like to fish you can walk to a great trout stream which is just over the bank from your room. ”The main reason I gave lower ratings on some of the survey questions was due to an issue during check-in. I had already been charged by the Vrbo host, but when I arrived at Stonewall Resort, I was told there was no card on file and that I would need to pay again. It appeared that Stonewall needed to process payment through the host rather than charge me directly.I tried explaining to the Stonewall staff that a third party was handling the payment, but they were unable to verify or locate that...

”A gem amongst the trees! Terrific stay for a long weekend! It is what you make of it — relaxing in your room or on the numerous patio spaces, or in the library, or in the lobby! Swimming and kayaking! We took a guided ride on the brand new pontoon boat (with a bartender and restroom on board) and that was one of my favorite parts.
